This Mono is a horrible piece of st.

It doesn't stop.
The brakes lock as soon as you touch the brake pedal, I've been pumping the brakes to get it to slow then using the drift. There is no feedback in this car when the brakes lock. It's a bit annoying.

That said in vr with no roof it's pretty spectacular. The only time it feels weird is when you spin out and seat going backwards...instant dizziness...

Only had a few Laos in it as took ages for my computer to recognise the headset. No idea why. I think it may be a dodgy USB connection. Really enjoy this car. Have to be so delicate with it. Will be trying to get up the leader board today. Have to finish an assignment first though. Started a diploma in implantology which will take up 1200 hours over 2 years so I think my driving will suffer.

Think I'm getting the hang of this car now,was losing out big time in S2 but looking at born2bslow telemetry I got it sussed (for now).

Managed to get top of the leader board with a custom setup, everything set to real, tried to see if I could beat my time with everything turned on but couldn't get close so for me it's quicker with everything off.

Maybe should try with just ABS.

Also I have done alot more laps than twelve,if I cock up I scrap the lap & start again (usually on the first left, right, left)

I saw that top time Evans nicely done. The telemetry is really useful to figure out where you are losing time isn't it. My corner speeds tend to let me down, if you look at the speed graphs my low points are always lower than yours...I'm not sure I can find another half a second to catch back up, this is a tricky car.

Edit: 5 seconds gained with a car setup, wow. Wish i knew what i was doing to play around with it.

The graphs are superb. They really show you where you are losing time. It's the "how" to do it that's the problem LOL ! I can see I'm braking too early in a lot of corners, and carrying less speed in, but when I try braking later in this car, I usually lock up and end up entering the corner backwards ! I don't have much "feel" in the brakes I have so this may be contributing in addition to my lack of skill ! My steering inputs are also consistently higher than the faster guys, which I presume means I'm under steering ? Any faster guys care to comment ?

More practice needed !

Cadence brake, they lock very easily and you just can't tell (no screeching or anything). I use less steering input because I'm throttle steering and drifting slightly. Slow her down, turn in and get on the gas (not full throttle) before the apex...then hold on for dear life and feather the gas...

Well you bugger lol, just come back from on the lash so if is going to happen it won't be tonight.

It's a great car when you get into it on VR,get it sliding everywhere,so much fun but so annoying also.

I won't be surprised if someone gets in the 1.49s,there is a lot more to give on this one.

Really? Not from me, I think another half a second max.

I'd be interested to know what you changed in the setup to gain 5 seconds.

I'm intriguing to see how you are quite a chunk faster on the start/finish straight.
I can see on the telemetry where I need to improve so I have a vauge idea of what I can do.

I hate my new job not working from home (yet/at all) so I can't play on my lunch break and I generally CBA in the evenings.

I use every inch of space on the outside of the final turn going in and coming out in 3rd gear, usually shifitng up to 4th just after leaving the kerbing. If I'm on a good lap I stay to the right to shorten the distance as well...by the time I'm braking for T1 I'm on the limiter.

Time for a new challenge? Haven't had much seat time lately so need an excuse to get back on it.

Restarted career mode in frookie, limited to PCars in the rift, as PC2 and AC both just crash if I try and use it. I think my PC is the problem, but I want to save a few quid with Black Friday deals when I build a new one so stuck until November.

If work keeps going as well as it is I'm going to get a 1080ti, an overclocked cpu bundle and make it a beast.

Sure thing, why don't you pick the combo? My pc is bust at the minute, so can you do a lap first and tell me exactly what pclapupdater says is the name of the track and the car as the udp data often is slightly different to what the actual game front end calls them

Did you ever download the source code from the online leaderboards, that should line up with the UDP data, each track and car also has a numerical identifier...

Then you could just select from a list smile

It's on my to do list, I've got a list of all the tracks and cars, they match up with the game just not always with the udp data

Yes we are :-) Well done to Drewk1 on a deserved championship win, the man's put in shed loads of laps.

My pc is knacked at the minute but if anyone wants to suggest a track combo for the first race, I'll see if I can set it up without my pc.

Also when I'm back up and running there'll be a little tweaking of the boost calculation to favour the fastest, only by a little bit at first, I still want a fighting chance of being near the leaders :-)
