Can we do something with the full Nururgring track?

Maybe in a typiacl hot hatch / performance coupe vehicle.

I understand the need for the handicap but it absolutely needs tweaking.

No, I've got a bar on that bloody track. We did it once before and unless you're really good it can be a very frustrating time. 5 minutes in, slightly go offline and invalid lap. Repeat until games console is hurled through a window.

If everyone wants it I'll relent but prior experience tells me that it won't be a popular choice.

Would it not be possible to remove the invalid lap for the 'Ring? Chances are that anyone who goes off track to the extent that it would make a lap invalid is only going to lose time anyway?

I could remove the valid lap check on the website as a one-off, not sure if there are any obvious cheaty points at the Nurburgring, eg driving over a chicane at full tilt

Please no, not Nurburgring next. Save it until the end of the season if we have to have it. It will kill me as I'm only just getting back into Project Cars and I can see me giving up pretty quickly after wrecking out on 50% of the corners!

Of course, if popular opinion wants it then I'll just have to put up and shut up smile

I can't think of any places at the Ring which would impact that, certainly not gaining time.

Well I think it's a terrible idea. There's the potential for the not so good people (myself included) to really hate it and to post some really bad times, which impacts some of the graphs on the website and those terrible times will skew the boost calculation.

That said, I'd like to think this is a democracy so we can have a quick vote on it.

Option a) Nurburgring (invalid lap check on)

Option b) Nurburgring (invalid lap check off)

Option c) Anything but the Nurburgring

I'll tally the votes at 8pm tonight :-)

I'd love to do the ring, but don't do it. The graphs and website are awesome, don't mess them up, we can do the ring in the old tt thread if you guys want to.

I was thinking something like Rouen lessarts in an old lotus open wheeler as a bit of a change...

Couldn't find rouen on my list and can't edit without my pc, so chose Brno

Yup, can't get at the code of the website until I get my pc back.

So can you log a lap?

Well I didn't expect to win.
I think the handicap does need tweaking as I'm by far the slowest and it should reflect that.
Anyway time to celebrate with some virtual champagne!

Nurbergring. Aargh please no.

We spent hours learning that damn track in the old days of our
Online Gpl league.
