Make sure you have UDP turned on in Project Cars, should still work without the speech. I try and avoid the kerbs, touching a kerb seems to be fatal for me.
The app won't install on my desktop, it suggests its installed, but won't launch. Its fine on my laptop, Not sure whats missing. UDP is on, so hopefully will be successful next session. You should also see that handicaps are starting to come into play.
The intention is to try and narrow the field as far as the championship goes, but the quick guys can still get that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing they're the quickest by toggling the handicap off.
Until I get a bit more data on how quick you are these might be a bit off, but as time goes on they should get more accurate.
You can read more under the help section on the menu

There's a new PCLapUpdater to download, old one won't work any more. Had to tighten things up a bit now there's quite a few of us:-
There's now a login (same as website) so that you can't accidentally be someone else
Shorter and wider for netbook/VM users with scrollbar
Checks the car and track to see that you're in the right car at the right place. Had quite a few times where people have changed car and track and left PCLapUpdater running and it's continued sending incorrect times to the website.

ETA - Thanks Mark for sorting me out. I did some laps in the F1, I'm terrible, it took 6 laps to complete one without spinning out. Its going to take me a while to improve on my time i think.
