So two nights into GTA5 and loving it. Have jumped out of the blimp, shot a cat, stolen dozens of cars and bikes, got body armour shotguns and grenades and am having a ball.
The in car driving and shooting is tricky but it's just a massive laugh.
I can see me wasting months at this. :-)

Played GTA V when it first came out almost exclusively but with the grindfest to get better cars/properties online etc i haven't really bothered turning it back on. The track creator though is good though and the guys on here that do the racing and other shenanigans makes it all worthwhile when online!
Started playing Mafia 3 the other night until i get ps+ again. Instantly howling at walking into the places with "no coloured allowed" in the window and just pushing people over without effort and end up dying
Driving on it is poor compared to gta v but need to play a bit more for a more formed opinion.

Just rented Mafia 3, its great for the first few hours and the soundtrack is epic but after the sparkle has gone it gets very very repeatitve. I rented it and sent it back about 3/4" the way through as i was playing it for the sake of playing it but not really enjoying it.Started playing Mafia 3 the other night until i get ps+ again. Really enjoying it. Done a few missions now, got a fair arsenal of weapons and a few new contacts . Some funny bits and pieces in the game to make you chuckle with the crazy bits. Had a general mess about last night chucking grenades and then shooting down the police helicopters until the swat team and snipers arrived :-)

Some of the humour in GTA5 is worse than what we'd bring up in the pub after 8 pints of beer - and we often go out of our way to offend each other. And Trevor is one of all time best characters in any game, ever. He's awful, and a riot. And I think my spirit animal?
Anyway, it's also one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen.
But it's difficult to rationalise the two... They must have had the game directors saying to one team "create real time lighting effects that rival the work of the greatest impressionist painters" and then, to another team "animate me two rednecks raping a woman in the middle of the woods"
(note; I dont count rape as funny - used only as an example of the extremes they seem to have gone to. If that wasn't obvious)
It's one very, very impressive - and bizarre - creation.
