Payet behaving like total knob, Sanchez throwing a strop after being took off when the game was already won for Arsenal, Pogba the £89 million man giving away a deliberate penalty.
People I know have started getting bit more interest in lower league football due to these overpaid prima donnas, I find myself listening to the Cambridge Utd commentary on BBC Cambridgeshire on Saturday afternoons now, the Championship is hotting up as well.

Throw strop > club wants to offload to stabilise dressing room > China bid appears > Player quadruples his salary.

Not sure why you put Pogba in there, all he did was make a mistake on the football pitch?

Maybe you could have included Costa instead?

You're right about Costa but regarding Pogba perhaps Mourinho paid a few mill too much for him, I also see the 'Special One' reverting to lower league tactics 'the long ball'

He got the goal though didn't he, ugly or not that point could be the difference between Europa & Champions league.

I think by "He", BCM meant Maureen with his "hoof it up to the big bloke" tactics.

I don't mind seeing a player throw a strop if they are subbed. Shows a bit of passion.

No that wasn't passion, that was a prima donna who's in contract talks looking for any lttle thing to throw his dummy out. Twenty minutes to go and it's 1-1 and I might understand him getting the strop if he got subbed but not 4 nil up with ten minutes to go.

I agree with 48k, I don't think he wanted to go off simply because he was enjoying playing!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see why you'd immediately see it as a 'contract' thing. The manager wants to give other players a run out..the player wants goals. He doesn't want anyone else to outshine him.

Sanchez can't be that thick that he didn't realise at that particular time it would be a good time to give Welbeck a run out after his injury, if he can't see that someone needs to have a word with him.

I can't be doing with all this long ball / short ball/ square ball nonsense. The only thing that matters is playing the right ball.

I'd rather see me team score off a long ball than pass it around for 40 touches and end up giving it back to the keeper.

Or in United's case, have a player in an offside position but still be awarded the goal anyway

I think he's a player that wants to win the Golden Boot...he's joint leading scorer. Look at his celebration when he scored even though it was for 4-1....meant a lot to him and that can't be interpreted as anything to do with contract negotiations.

How anyone can question Sanchez's attitude is beyond me....Played on one leg for Chile in the last international break back and was straight at it for Arsenal.

Unfortunately a player who wants to play football as much as Sanchez does isn't a great story is it.

Mourinho is an employee. Lets be clear, it's the Glazers and Woodward that may have paid too much for #pogba. Then again maybe he'll turn out a complete bargain over time. #rooney #ferdinand

I'd always held Alex Ferguson in the highest regard until he bottled it when Rooney threw a strop threatening to sign for Man City and Ferguson buckled to Rooney and his agents wage demands.
As for a bargain I beg to differ, he showed signs in his early career that he was a good player but unfortunately they never materialised but lucky for him he got the gig with Man Utd but unlucky for you Man Utd fans, which also meant the England team have been lumbered with him for years but hopefully that is coming to end now. Comparing him to Bobby Charlton is an insult to Bobby Charlton.

Are you deliberately trolling??

Yes Rooney probaly did push for the big contract with Fergie but at the time he fully deserved it. Scoring goals, driving force of United's team, and fronted alot of the clubs marketing. Plus at the time you could say he was one of the top players in the world. The big issue I had was with the big contract signed under Moyes which maybe was a mistake.

I think Rooney can be held in the same regard as Charlton, Best, etc....for what he has done for the club, and that shows in nearly becoming the clubs leading goal scorer.

His big let down was for England and never really perfoming at his best in Euro's / World Cups. He should have been managed exactly the same way Jose has done it this year. Be around the team and squad but rarely starts a game. Every England manager has bottled it and continued to play him but his performances have not deserved it. But on the other hand he is England's leading goal scorer and that must be respected.

For Pogba we did over pay but the club will get that money back ten fold. He will be a star for the club but is growing into the role. He has all the attributes its just learning when to play the simple ball, and when to do the skill. Funny that when Pogba was scoring wonder goals for Juve everyone is laughing at United on how they could let this amazing player go. We buy him back for a fee which other clubs would have paid and suddenly he is rubbish and what a waste of money. rofl

At the risk of derailing the thread, who? Manyoo were in a one horse race for his signature and yet still vastly overpaid.
