new daily Snotter - Seat Cupra 290
Discussion
What can I say...had 13 miles on it when I picked it up from the PDI centre yesterday.
Bright white and clean in the sun. I had ordered dynamic grey which is like a dull white but that colour had expired. dealer apologised massively a few weeks back and has sent £750 rebate. result. its only a 2 year lease so can change out soon enough.
Its quick...really punchy and still running it in for 600 miles. still getting used to the modes of comfort, sport and Cupra. sport and then cupra makes the exhaust louder, suspension & steering harder and raises the power. Cupra is the highest setting.
Great quality and the price is bonkers for a £157 per month on the lease for a £32k car.
Loads of options from heated bucket seats with alcantara , folding mirrors, nav, USB, Bluetooth, really fast and close box, Slippy diff, Xenons and those follow the road lights etc. 19 inch rims on decent tyres, big brakes.
Basically a golf R but without the 4wd. Most come of the factory with near on 300 bhp
Cold and slippy out there but it feels stable and grippy.
lots to learn about it and to enjoy but a cracking daily.

I don't get this lease thing, having never been involved in one. When you say it's costing you £x per month for a 32k car, did you have to put down a deposit first? And do you have to pay an amount at the end of the 2 year term aswell?
I think this deal was 2k down. so around 6k over 2 years. The Spruce goose said:

I think this deal was 2k down. so around 6k over 2 years.I get it, I'm not a lease guy. But my car cost me £2,800 and will last me 4 years then I'll get that back at the end (I actually made a profit on my last car)
It's not a new car, of course. But I get it, I'm not a lease guy
Enjoy the car, they seem pretty awesome to me!

These deals always sound so tempting to me... then I work out, like the above that it's £6,000 over 2 years, then you have nothing to show for it!

This along along with what a friend said to me, your limited to 5k-10k miles per annum. I would jump at it in a heart beat if I could afford it. I get it, I'm not a lease guy. is that really a 32k car. interior looks no better than my other halfs 2012 skoda fabia
Identical interior to the '16 plate golf I drive for work. Make of that what you will.kayzee said:

You get to drive a brand new car for 2 years. I'm on my first lease and I wouldn't go back to older cars now; after being nervous about the change. It's an expense, but this is a motoring forum, so whilst some prefer driving around in a 2001 passat for shed money, I don't. I salute those that do though.I get it, I'm not a lease guy.
