I'm pretty much not going see much of the summer from June onwards haha

Me as well, going to have to buy it for PC for serious gaming, but also on Xbox 1 for all mates that will get it, luckily I drive 1000 miles for work a week so collect all the nectar points at bp stations and they will pay for Xbox version

I wish I could just jump ship to PC but can't justify the cost, but I know that's where to get the real deal. But focus console guys are giving you PC guys a run! The company I work have a rewards type scheme here we can nominate each other for up to £100 a pop, so if I put in a good stint it I could use them on the special release edition. (I ducked up and went and pre-ordered the regular edition which I'm in the process of cancelling) Edited by turbojay555 on Thursday 2nd March 18:45

Not ordered mine yet, wasn't going to get it because I didn't think it could live up to dirt rally, but after watching you tube videos it looks like it could be a improvement, so I'm in Well, I'm an idiot! (I know, this isn't really news!!)
Set up my flight stick as handbrake this morning - not ideal as it isn't fixed to anything but, feels way more satisfying than a button. Did a couple of practice efforts on the first stage and clocked a 3:10 and a 3:08. All felt good so, I thought I'd give the stage a go in the league.
Took a quick break for a p1ss first...must have erased my short term memory bank as well as emptying my bladder!
So, approaching the first tight left hander down the hill, turn in nice and early and went to apply the handbrake....but, rather than pulling back on the flight stick, I instinctively pressed the stupid fking button on the stupid fking wheel!! Overshot badly, straight into the trees and lost a good 20 eseconds trying to sort it all out and get back on track! All good after that and Ended up with a 3:30 or something!
Second stage was much better and made back a chunk of time on Quickcurl (but not on Starving, obviously!) That's all I had time for today, hopefully will get the rest done over the weekend.
Not that my times matter particularly...as soon as I get to the rain stages, my rally will effectively be over

Hah! That makes me feel slightly better about my 'forgot to select first gear' error last time out
Seriously though, even with VR Rain you'll be hard pressed to finish behind me this time! I'm not the quickest at the best of times; but this time my brain must've thought it was a 'most impressive barrel roll' competition! I certainly had some good ones!

Looking at the times we swapped positions like the change of the weather. If only we done it real time like a proper rally!
Haha would have been a nail biter, think i was 10 seconds up on first stage and thought I've got this, but I just didn't want to take too many risks, then last stage I just went for it like a madman but I was just couldn't manage it. Good battle though enjoyed it. I think I can say, with some degree of certainty, that was my worst Dirt Rally session ever. The visibility on the rain stages was predictably awful, even to the point of following what I thought was the track, only to find I drove straight off the road and into a steward...oops.
The other stages were just terrible. I rolled the car literally within 500 yards of starting stage 3! I've never rolled a car there before in all the time I've been playing! I also just couldn't get on with the joystick as a handbrake in the end, it'll require some practice to get used to. I switched back to the button about half way through which was a huge improvement. I think after stages 3 and 4 going so badly, the red mist descended and I was just throwing the car about like an idiot, which led to many accidents, which made the red mist even thicker, which led to more accidents and so on, and so forth...
Couple of technical glitches to contend with too, including a couple of complete game crashes and a VR user error - I'd forgotten to close the lounge door which meant one of the base stations had no line of sight and therefore no clue where the headset was! This resulted in a couple of 'sudden head re-positioning' scenarios which didn't help matters in what was already an abortion of a rally
Quickcurl, I tried dude, I really did but, I still managed to finish ahead of you somehow
