All done. Wasn't too bad, I quite like the RWD cars - the handling makes more sense to me (and they're way more fun ). I was definitely driving less aggressively than I usually do (default aggression level is set to 11, which rarely results in a successful rally ) There were still a few vehicle recoveries needed but, I managed to keep the red mist under control this time, unlike in Wales!
I had thought that we had a checkpoint after every stage but, a couple of times, I was waiting for the menu where I could exit so that I could practice the next stage, only to find myself thrown into it completely blind. Thought I'd done something wrong but, it happened twice - unless I missed something obvious?

Bloody hell, I've never had to have my car recovered so many times! Actually managed to crash on the 1st corner of the 1st stage...
Was congratulating myself at not bending the front of my car halfway through the last stage, and then promptly threw it off the road and spent the next 5 minutes squinting at a black screen - made to the finish though but won't be troubling the leaderboard again!

Just finished my run,
Bloody enjoyed that, love Greece, not so keen on rwd but it went pretty well, until stage 6 when I managed to flip it over and down the bank, then had another moment in same stage, apart from that all went ok.
Just have to wait for bananachips now to blitz my time, will be checking regularly

I haven't had a chance to get on with work, buying a Fiesta track car this week, and with a lot at stake here I'm getting some rest and having a go on Sunday. On a side note who uses 'softlock' steering?

Yers.
st, I've just remembered. Quikcurl told me about a mistake. I need to demote myself. Again.
Shoulda kept quiet - nobody is gonna be mad enough to check the times given the effort to get racenet to work! st, I've just remembered. Quikcurl told me about a mistake. I need to demote myself. Again.
Turbojay, was your 550 mile trip actually practicing on Dirt rally!?
It's dangerous having a time to aim for.
Was 10 seconds behind Speckle (having been a long way further back after a poor start) about half way through.
Noticed that and thought 'I'll have him this time'.
Pushed a bit more, and promptly needed recovering twice on the next stage and once on the stage after that.
Still, a finish is a good thing on this event it seems!

I retired. The practicing was going well, turned in some good times just over 3 minute mark. When it mattered, I came off and needed reset on the first two bog corners. Retired in disgust
I do that all the time - have a good practice and think "Right, I'm ready for this stage" only to roll on the first bloody corner!Quikcurl said:

Unlucky. This is precisely why I try not to look too closely at the times! Was 10 seconds behind Speckle (having been a long way further back after a poor start) about half way through.
