Available to pre-load now on all platforms!

Maybe it'll have a bit more longevity than The Division!

Having played the closed beta, I have to say I think that's unlikely.

I just didn't gel with it particularly. The shooting mechanics are quite nice and felt realistic (ie. a well placed shot would result in a kill, even on a boss) but, I much preferred the linearity of the division.

It felt like the game wasn't quite sure what it wanted to be - it was sort of a mash up between Metal Gear Solid and Far Cry, neither of which I enjoyed very much.

The driving mechanics are laughably arcade-like and that jarred a bit with the realism of the rest of the game.

The graphics looked quite nice though.

I'm sure many will enjoy it but, it didn't feel as though it will have much in the way of longevity as many of the missions I played felt very similar to one another. The other areas may be very different but, as the beta only had one location available, I can only judge what was playable.

Are you talking your personal feeling about the game ?? The division has got loads of players at the mo with another big patch about to drop any time.

As far as Ghost Recon Wildlands is concerned I'm really looking forward to this.

I got a lot of time put in The Division but a lot of my mates stopped playing quite early om which was disappointing, I gave up when the Underground dropped as I didn't want to buy the DLC when playing with pubs. I also kept breaking my triggers with that game!

I fear these might be daft questions but is the open beta free and how do you get onto it?

I'm on PC, have had a snaffle around the Ubisoft site but couldn't find a sign-up option.

It's be great if this was a more grounded version of The Division - it always jarred that you could empty entire magazines into people in that game for no effect!

Cheers, Steve.

I've been playing a lot of The Division survival mode, it's like a quick hour long blast of the full game.

Having played the closed Beta, its as another poster said, a mix between a few games. Ultimate summary would be, its sort of like a polished FarCry 4, with more weapons/attachments and vehicles (choppers etc), subtle differences (like the cars were difficult to drive!)

I like the division (dont play often now, more RS Siege), and its not a bullet sponge sort of game, but its no where near as realistic as R6 Siege, although a headshot kills, the damage to you system is farcry like.

I have said, I probably wont pick it up as a full price launch game, I did enjoy playing it, but there wasnt enough to really get me hooked. Looks like a pretty big playing area.

Going to be playing some of the Beta again tonight on Xbox One though.

Well I've enjoyed what little I played on the PC this lunch, looks nice enough. It's basically FarCry 3 outpost simulator but with Co-Op. Will give it a whirl on the PS4 later for comparison

I played a couple of hours yesterday and enjoyed myself, it is starting to feel like Ubisoft are just reskinning the same game over and over now though.

I take it when you play co op your computer controlled teammates are replaced by players?

I like it. It has a far cry feel about it. More arcade than rainbow six siege though.

Loads of little glitches with people sticking out of cars. Cars half in the ground. I shot a car up and it drove off leaving a see through car sized damage box with bullet holes in it behind. hehe

Probably in terms of overall player retention. The Division was a big seller but the player base collapsed after launch, mainly because it was a complete load of crap made for morons with a dismal endgame. It was the tipping point for Tom Clancy games, as they'd typically been pretty good until then. If I learned one lesson, it's never to buy a season pass for a game you haven't played.

If Wildlands has one thing going for it, it's that it couldn't possibly be as st as The Division.

I've not played farcry but my friend who I was playing this beta with (that has played it) said it feels like this.

I played The Division and this game feels much like that. A game with not much story/substance to it, just going around shooting, collecting & leveling up. Whoever made the game clearly copied off some of MGSVs homework.

I was considering downloading the beta test this afternoon but a few minutes watching uploaded clips and a couple of Twitch streams showed the game behind the gloss and it looks really underwhelming.

Played for 3 hours this afternoon.

Liking the kit customisation. I do agree that it is a polished farcry 4. The heli seems a pain to fly!!

My only gripe is that it just feels a little clunky in combat and the quick order menu for the squad is like it as well. Goimg to have another go tomorrow!

Well, I played it pretty much all Friday and Saturday, I have to say I think it is epic! It is like MGS and Far Cry4 combined.

I like the mechanics of how the game works, I like the weapons selection, the vehicles are a bit clunky but when you understand how they work they make more sense (helicopters are a bit weird but when you have a mate on the door gun you understand the controls are set in a way that allows easy stable low speed maneuvering).

I like the demo has a huge snowy tundra area and jungle to give you an idea of the range or terrain you can play with.

Even the AI seems for the most part fairly switched on and they advance in stages and from cover to cover.

My only gripe is the AI is always in the same position and routine when you go back to a base which may shorten the longevity of the game as once you know how to go through a base you can easily steam through it at will.

I played with friends over the weekend and with the AI team and I have to say the AI makes things a lot more easier than having friends in your team (mostly because friends don't follow orders hehe )

I'm in, as soon as it comes out I'm buying it.
