Seriously made my year this news has and its only February!!

Only the crowd you say, well what game have you been put in says I! Seriously though im interested to hear about the process if anyone else has done similar.

That's pretty cool (in a geeky sort of way lol) I'd love to be in the game like that, but I'd probably break the camera.

Project Cars used the names of all the WMD community members in the game, so when racing against AI I could theoretically race against myself. There were quite a lot (thousands) and I haven't bumped into myself yet. I also have 2 (official) liveries in the game named after my kids, one on the Z4 GT3 (#44 David Drive Systems) which has the pistonheads logo all over it smile, and one on the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 (#56 Izzy Springs) AM wouldn't allow real world company logos sadly. I could have had a billboard as well but missed the deadline for that.

To be honest watching game development on the inside (sort of) was really interesting, and I'd love to do it again.

Apparently date not yet set in stone so heres hoping as very quickly gone froma cool thing im doing to a cool thing i nearly did.

I have project cars will take a look at your liveries tomorrow, did you do the full design or jus colour schemes and wording?

I'm so glad they are spending the time to 3D scan individuals in the crowd as that's what I felt was missing from gran turismo.

Presumably they'll only have a few people repeated, 1000s of times. You'll be everywhere. hehe

I have zero design skills, I just told the devs what colour schemes the kids wanted and the car numbers. They did the work then I got them to add pistonheads logos when the kids were happy. The Z4 is nicer because my son was more interested and had a better idea of what he wanted. My daughter just said red and white and wasn't that fussed. I came up with the names.

This is GT we're talking about who replicated the stars and the moon. They will pride themselves that there is not a duplicated individual within the whole game.

On the other hand 54 duplicated versions of Honda Civic has been fine for years.

But they'll still be using the same cars and interior silhouettes from GT4... hehe

Shame it's unlikely to be released in your lifetime, if the current "delays" are anything to go by...

Damn right smile I'd have never know about the Skyline GTS-T's if it wasn't first car in GT1. Driving it now it is great in real life just like it was starting out in the game.

Had a JZA70 Supra and a R33 GTR next which I suspect will be as good when I get hold of them smile

bit disappointing to read from wiki that GT sport will have only 140 cars. same as GT1. the other games had anywhere from 650-840 (up to 1226 if you count DLC). I'd like to hope that with the fewer cars they would at least bring back racing modifications for every car, like in 1 and 2.

Not sure which version of gt this is going to be. Apparently though the provisional date is the same date as i get to Japan and mines a fairly late flight. Date isnt set in stone so heres hoping it gets moved back a day or two but not too much as only over for six days this time as need to sort boring business stuff out.

Hopefully if i am in it ill get a free copy as not been that fussed about the last few versions to be honest

GT still around? Assumed after all the delays and the flop of the last it would be dead or at least designed under another name.

I still remember GT1 with the race modification on the Mitsubishi GTO, nothing could touch that.

They're looking to completely change it with the upcoming GT Sport.

heh and yeah, a skyline or GTO with stage 4 turbo pushing 930hp. fast as fk but could barely turn a corner.

Might have to dig out my old PS collection and have blast to remind myself how far things have come with all this reminiscing about old GT games...

It's a shame they turned off the time trial servers for gt5 (or was it prologue?)

Not a massive fan of o line racing again randomers/rammers, but did enjoy chasing laptimes in like for like cars.
