We have seen lots of questions about bans being issued in the PC version of Destiny 2. To provide some information, we would like to share some facts.
The following is true:
Destiny 2 cannot automatically ban you, only Bungie can ban a player after a manual investigation
Yesterday, we banned approximately 400 players on PC
Bans were applied to players who were using tools that pose a threat to the shared ecosystem of the game
We did not (and will not) issue any bans for the use of overlays or performance tools, including Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc.

Lot of people on the forums calling BS. However a few Reddit posts saying that a few shouty people make it seem like a lot more as its loud and constant, however reading a fair few of the threads i cant see it just being 400, a lot of folk are just angry that the game they were either happily playing for a few hours or not even past character creation have been banned and dont use any cheats or hacks or even the overlays they say dont work with destiny.
Few reports also that the post about what stuff doesnt work with destiny actually triggers bans.
The issue is Bungie are known for talking bks and making it out that its the users, and not them at fault.

I picked it up when it went free2play on pc in Oct and got quite a lot for no money spent. Picked up the expansions in the sale so hoping for some more fun.
Got no one to play the raids with though - we used to have quite a group on the xbox but the PH clan seems to be a dead link on the bungie website for me
gave the xbox to my brother so looks like I'm stuck as billy no mates unless any of you lot are around?

Hey man, i could do with a few folk to do raids with etc, am not an A+ gamer on this, best char is 930 but have a few exotics and know most strike and like maps, dont play PVP as its awful! But raiding I know little about, so llet me know, love the game and you can do so much for free!
