Forza Motorsport (2023)
Discussion
This page should stay up to date with the cars and tracks list for the game https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Forza_Motorsport_(20...
This game looks bloody awful from the preview footage. Low res car models from the Xbox 360 era are being used still, and graphically the game just looks pretty bland. There’s uproar on social media and the Forza Forums. It may play well and have loads of cars and tracks, but it’s not why we have these high end consoles/PC’s!

It provides citation for its claims, or it gets the hose again...RB Will said:
Got any links to the forums etc? The videos ive seen of it look pretty high end
Probably a troll butt hurt they purchased a PS5 and are stuck with GT7 - can't blame them to be fair, Kaz hasn't been kind to the fandom...Only drawback I can see for me with FM so far is no Nordschleife at release, which given it's been confirmed for a later date and as an updated/current model of the circuit i'm not too upset about. Cars look great, FM5-onwards sounded better than GT7 does in terms of engine/tyre noise so looking forward to seeing where Forza have moved the game on to now.

Look at the latest footage they’ve put out on YouTube and Twitter. There’s a video at Ohio with an S200 and another one with a Mitsubishi Lancer. I have got both consoles, I do enjoy GT7 despite it’s flaws. I was looking forward to this.. the developers are known to use ancient renders/inaccurate models though. There’s also a long running thread on the Forza forums.

I've said before but I'm not that fussed about having the ultimate photo realistic graphics. As long as the physics and frame rate are good and consistent I'll be fine.
These are both things that have really pushed Forza ahead of GT over the last decade so I have no reason to think this'll be different.

Yeah I've seen the footage you're talking about and whilst it is marked as pre-release, it looks worse than the footage they've shown before for some reason. Compression might be an issue but they're missing literally massive features like reflections ffs. No idea why they thought this would be a good idea.I have got both consoles, I do enjoy GT7 despite it’s flaws. And yeah, I mentioned this a few comments back but I suspected they'd just re-use the old models which there really is no excuse for. It's not hard to find an Evo 5 for example is it.
This vid covers quite a lot of the issues in one place:
I know they're saying it'll be 4k at 60fps but if it's going to look like this, no thanks. Fingers crossed it's just an issue with the footage shown and not what the game will look like.

Christ that chap's hard work to watch, interesting drawbacks with the footage shown so far though given it's nearly a month until their launch date! And yeah, I mentioned this a few comments back but I suspected they'd just re-use the old models which there really is no excuse for. Yeah I know he's a lot but the content of the video was pretty useful Although he's firmly in the "Youtuber" camp he does own some pretty decent cars himself. R34 GTR and LC500 I think at the moment along with building a replica M3 GTR from Need for Speed. I stopped watching his content a long time ago now but he's done really well from it so fair play.

Yeah I saw the amount of subscribers, showing my age by not having a clue who the bloke is! Glad to hear it sounds like he's spending his money wisely Although he's firmly in the "Youtuber" camp he does own some pretty decent cars himself.
