Got a series s for Christmas as I wanted to try racing stuff with a wheel. Really not a gamer before now apart from GTA5 and Forza Motorsport on a borrowed Xbox 360.
Currently trying a bit of f123, Forza Motorsport and horizon and firewatch. Got most of the way through Goldeneye for some nostalgia.

I`m just trying out Hell Let Loose, it`s a bit slow and seems like hard work to find any action.

I`ll put a bit more time in with it but first impressions aren`t good.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. Really enjoyed Fallen Order and Survivor is even better. So much so that I've found myself trying to get 100% completion for the first time ever.

Also played a little of Batman: Gotham Knights. Again really enjoyed the previous games in the series, and whilst Knights is fun I've struggled to get in to it.

I've bought EA WRC, but apart from a 5 minute go haven't put anytime in to it. Mainly purchased because of the selection of cars it has.

Some games can be like that but some can be very intense!

Ok so this weekend I decided Resident Evil 2 is just not for me. So I switched attention to Assassins Creed: Valhalla, having never played an AC game before!

Enjoying the amazing scenery, the sneaking around and parkour, being a viking...not enjoying being rubbish at combat and the inability to quickly change weapons.

I recently went back to Fight Night Champion (Legacy mode) for nostalgia. Far better game, imho, that the MMA games that are out now.
The previous boxing game FN round 3, i maxed out the points, only game that's i've been dedicated to, which was 1000 points.

Also started a career in Forza Motorsports, beautiful game, love the ray-tracing affects of night racing.

Just downloaded Resident Evil 3, not sure if i'm looking forward to that, but it's new on Game Pass.

PGR 4. It's difficult after playing Forza for ages and not having rewind anymore.
Assume on the 360? I got a bit excited then and thought it was backwards compatible! Would have loved them to continue with this, the game nailed having both cars and bikes on the track.

Same! I bought it for £1 from the charity shop then promptly gave it back for free when it didn't work on the Series X...

I'm terrible at finishing anything generally so have a few on the go:

Modern Warfare 2 - Just the multiplayer, haven't bothered getting 3 yet as I hear the campaign is gash and I'm happy with the MP in 2 for now (did actually finish the campaign and enjoyed it)

Cyberpunk 2077 - Second play-through after putting 127 hours into my first one, going with a completely different build this time and I'll be playing the Dog Town expansion as part of the main story as I didn't play it when it released (wanted to have it as part of the main story).

RDR2 - Never played this or the first one when it came out, bought it last year on sale. Still way early on and have only played it a bit. Need a long session to really get into it.

Forza Motorsport - Uninstalled Horizon for this, luckily I didn't pay for it (just the VIP bit) and I'm even a bit annoyed about that. The actual driving is great but the rest isn't nearly as good as Horizon. Will probably be amazing in a years time.

Star Trek Resurgence - I'm a geek. That is all. If you like Start Trek and point and click type games it's very good. Like an interactive episode of TNG.

Stray - I waited ages for this to come to Xbox, it's a very cool game. Lots of exploration, puzzle solving and all whilst being able to meow. What's not to like. A bit of a palate cleanser after some of the other high-stress games.

I remember that game as being one of the first to have proper dynamic weather. Was an amazing game back then!

Yes! I'd forgotten about that. God I'm tempted to drag the 360 out of the loft now.

I have fond memories of the jet bike. What a noise.

Cyberpunk 2077. Having never played it before I decided to get it for Christmas when I heard you could buy it as a complete up to date package with all the issues sorted and the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Brilliant game, but I completed it by accident far too early. Now have all the side quests etc to mop up before I dive into the expansion pack. Also at times feels more like a movie than a game.

Elden Ring, never played anything like this before. Extremely challenging but rewarding if you stick with it and figure out how everything works.

Always been a PC gamer, but mine is well overdue for replacement, so I've been using the Xbox quite a bit over the past couple of months. Mainly finishing off RDR2 and then recently started Hogwarts Legacy.

At the weekend I took the plunge and signed up for game pass to give me a bit more variety. Literally just started Jurassic World Evolution 2 last night. I enjoyed the first one on PC, and didn't realise they'd released a sequel until now. Looks quite promising, basic premise is "build your own Jurassic Park", with a series of campaign missions to work your way through. Also a sandbox mode, but I'll wait until I've finished the campaign before dipping into this as I prefer for all the features to be drip fed to me, feels more immersive.

Also downloaded (hopefully, I left it running overnight) is Batman Arkham Knight and Assassins Creed, not played either of those but look interesting.

Then feel free to join me and I’ll show you the ropes.

Community servers tend to be a lot better than the toxic Official Servers.

World War Z, I've completed all the levels, but I'm levelling up the various classes and weapons. It's easy mindless violence for when I get 15 mins free.

I started Jurassic World Evolution 2 but it was a game that would eat up HOURS of time (in a good way) and I got distracted by other games. Need to go back to it, it worked well on Xbox with a controller.

Arkham Knight is brilliant.

Thanks!

Good to know the Xbox controller well works with it, having been used to mouse/keyboard I’ve always been put off by this sort of thing on console until now.
