Oh I remember those series well, absolutely fantastic times and very true, luckily I’m consistent these days! Hopefully there isn’t too many 1st corner wreckfests but you never know hehe

I’ll try and get close to your time in that MX5 when I get a chance wink Andy has a great MX5 tune too!
Good lad, that’s the key smile Yeah fortunately no sign of Stiggy on here yet, so hopefully I won’t be taken out every race by his lag-propelled 300mph missiles flying all over the track…

Good to know thanks man will have a search for that!

Quick ask for a different race series I’m in.

Need a car / cars (as only one of each car allowed and I’m about 10th on the list to pick) that starts at Pi 735 but must be able to get to 690 and 760 with Adjustable Aero Front and Back, maxed width race tyres front and back.

Cars must be built from 1980 to the present day, no race cars allowed.

Any thoughts on what you already have in A class that’s decent?

Lamborghini Countach
Honda NSX-R 2005
Lexus RC-F 2015
Porsche 911 GT3 2004
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec
Dodge Viper GTS ACR 1999
BMW M3 GTS 2010
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2002
Ferrari F355 1994
Ferrari 288 GTO
Ford GT 2005
Ford Mustang GT350R
Jag F-Type R coupé
Lamborghini Diablo SV
Lotus Esprit V8
Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG 2012
Nissan Z 2023
Porsche 718 Cayman GTS
Porsche 911 GT3 2007
Toyota GR Supra

There are some others in C class that would work too.

Many of the cars I've listed would need a small dose of ballast to make 690 minimum.

Do we have to stick with same car throughout the series or can pick and choose depending on the circuit? Just wondering if I go with a handling tune or a jack of all trades that should do ok on all circuits

Same car but you're allowed different builds/tunes.

460PI is a devil of a number, I've had reasonable success going for a more handling tune than outright power with the RS turbo, do you want me to share my tune so you can get a base line?
That would be lovely if you could Idle, muchos appreciated!
done, DM sent!

Is that Rene's rule, or your interpretation.

My interpretation is Hot Hatch upto 460, with no mention of using the same car in all races.

read I quite fancy a trip to Paris to visit the FIA for a final ruling smile .

Try using the Forza tune app. It gives a good baseline but seems to set the suspension way too soft for this iteration of the game.

Not sure what my gamer tag is btw, I’ll have to check. Hopefully I will be In the alps this weekend and unable to join, but if that falls through I’ll be sulking on the sofa and would welcome the distraction
Thankfully for me I will be flying tomorrow, so will sit out this round. Have fun!

i have a 944 turbo and 911 3.3 turbo both sitting at PI 700 that are quick and handle well. Not sure if cooking them up to 760 would ruin that but tick all the other boxes.

i would personally start with a b or even c class car, chuck all the weight out, add adjustable everything so it can be tuned to dial out any inevitable poor handling, and only then add power. i would have said the 2.7rs but the 1980+ precludes that.

Down to 58.675 on softs with Idles tune, which helped a lot thank you very much! Made a quick AE86 tune using Andy’s gearing and stiffening the suspension up and got into the 58s on mediums, that’s more like it!

That was my interpretation too but It was spoken about after the practice session a couple of weeks ago and was mentioned then to avoid complication.

Obviously a final decision needs to be made before ASAP so I'll put a msg in the Xbox msg group he started.

If you contact Rene, please ask him to amend the first post, and we can use that as the master rulebook smile

Hi chaps.

Apologies for the lack of replies. I’ve been in hospital with Kidney failure so wasn’t able to reply. All sorted and recovering nicely now.

I’ll amend the main post as requested but yes, as Andy said.

Once we start the championship, you must stay in the same car for the entire series. Apologies for any confusion.

Looking forward to Sunday.

To be fair that's a pretty decent excuse, hope you're on the mend now mate!
