Just look how masterfully I pilot that carbon rocket dildo, expertly ricocheting from Armco to Armco. It was a majestic drive that would make even the great Latifi proud!

No idea if it makes it easier to manage and save a load of rebuilding with different PI etc but championship I’m running in at the moment uses Ballast to good effect

No idea what the PI implications are for these cars though.

Good idea but the issue I'd have is that my car already has ballast to allow other goodies to be fitted plus adjust the front/rear balance.

Not sure if it's the same for anyone else??

I’ve just gone for full handling over power so only needed ballast to counteract the goodies on my choice.

Uhhhh I fitted racing suspension so I could slam my car and then give it a load of negative camber and was unaware you could look at front/rear balance, so no Andy not the same rofl I should really look in to how to tune cars at some point, but once a car is low enough with some decent wheels that's normally all I can be bothered to do - maybe download a livery at a push...

I've gone full grip too, the ballast was definitely worth it

Speaking of liveries, unless i've not yet found the correct part of the game, they have absolutely f*cked it for me! Used to enjoy going on the storefront to download various vinyl groups people had made and building up a livery, however now can only see a way to download full liveries! Bit st given we used to be able to run PistonHeads-specific number boards etc on the cars for PH series frown

Look at you guys already testing cars… I’m yet to even get back on the game to get some testing in let alone levelling cars up hehe

Not sure what I’m going to pick but I’m definitely going to try out the GP2 Mini, might be slightly biased… Thanks for putting all the available cars on the thread John!

How long will we have to adjust the cars after the circuit is selected? The reason I ask is that all my testing is at Spa, but if somewhere like le Mans were the circuit my max speed would be far too slow.

It's not an issue if everyone is in a slow car, but I'd like to at least keep the others in sight smile .

I've done 3 tunes for my car to cover most bases but need to do one for Le Mans/Nordschleife.

If you have the tunes saved it's literally seconds to change to a different one.

It’s a minefield IME.

I did some grinding with the Clio Williams. There was a point where it was handling really nicely. Then I decided to see what it was like with rwd as that option didn’t seem to make much difference to the stats and dropped the PI by about 30 points allowing other mods.

Net result, totally different handling car and about 3secs a lap slower. I undid the changes but couldn’t remember what suspension settings I had and now can’t get close to the lap time I had before I got ‘clever’.

Having to grind to level up really makes tuning a chore as direct comparisons between cars and upgrades just aren't possible.

You should save it next time you silly boy!

I've tried 4 different cars now, build was very similar and resulting stats also very similar but there was 2secs a lap difference between the fastest and slowest.

I wanted to run a Corrado VR6 but it was 0.800 slower than the fastest car which is much more mundane rolleyes

yes i need to start saving things for sure.

the clio in fast fwd guise was very forgiving and had really nice lift off oversteer. albeit i was using suzuka for comparative times & tuning for which this is ideal. got eaten up on the straights but even the stock focus rs with PI above 480 [486?] couldn't get near it's laptime.

i was going to build a rwd escort rs turbo and an ae86 but not sure it i cba'd now. nothing in the modern hatch category appeals.
