I'm halfway through downloading the patch now, getting about 200KBps at the mo which isn't too bad at all. Don't know if I want to install it now after hearing that you've got probs 
. I did read on the EA website that the game does have issues with some ATI Crossfire cards, they suggest turning the resolution down to 1024 x 768. Don't know if that's what's causing your problems?

Installed it with no problems, I don't know if I was imagining it but it seems to run a little quicker now. I did notice that EA have put back the release of European Forces though because of this patch.
It said coming in 5 days when I loaded up yesterday... that not the case anymore?
I downloaded the 1.2 incremental patch in about 5 minutes and no problems for me...
I think the identification system works better now... you can see who you're shooting at longer distances much quicker, and also UAV planes are visible... they're werent before were they?
I downloaded the full patch - as I had no idea what version it was before. Anyway took about 1.5 hrs. It is working fine for me.
Only played it for an hour or so on the 1.2, so not noticed much difference yet. Looking foward to unlock the latest sniper rifle.
Probably get the European expansion when its out in the shops. Any further news when it will be out? I dont have the special forces one.
It seems that EA are charging for more weapon unlocks by bringing out these expansions. It takes so long to get unlocks normally in the game.

Uav's are handy to see. now you know if the enemy knows were u are. and longer distance is better. save you killing a team mate

im getting 250kps (i think its capped)
note this is the incremental update, only download if you have been playing online in the past 2 months, otherwise get the full update which is also on the same site.

EA site was rubbish, I used www.bf2.com or something similar and it only took 30 mins. Just searched for "Battlefield 2 patch" in google.
Not noticed much different...apart from the planes and finally you cant jump and shoot!
Very amusing to see so many people on tonight that jump when you try and shoot them because its what they are used to...only to find they can no longer shoot back

Went to play BF2 last and there was another splash screen form EA mentioning issues arising from the 1.2 patch. Looks like they're working on 1.21 at the moment so keep your eyes peeled. This has also had the effect of pushing back European Forces as some of the issues about 1.2 directly affect this new add-on,
