A look at the Current League Standings shows that Ian Parker holds a commanding lead in the '76 class, although with pitstop rules under question, this could all change at Hockenheim.

After Ian it's too close to call with several drivers all within range of second place in the championship.

Meanwhile in the '65 class, Dangerous Mike's sterling performance at Donington seens him 4 points clear, as Adam was only able to rescue a single point at Donington.

A change from the '65 to '76 class by PVapour could be a mistake, as he now sits towards the bottom of both championship tables.

The '65 class is wide open, as the mighty PistonHeads GTLegends League rolls on to the Hockenheim GP circuit, 2.84 miles in length.

I think we need to clarify the 76 pitstop rules. We either need to say that stop/go pits are OK, or that drivers need to to have a mandatory fuel/tyre stop. I'll leave it up to the 76 class to call it...

....meanwhile everyone else talk up your Hockenheim laptimes here. (mine are rubbish, haven't cracked 2mins in the GT40)

I'll have a gander now round Hockenheim..

Personally on the Pit issue, I think Stop/Go is fine?

As a 65 driver I'd prefer the 76 guys to refuel or change tyres so I have a better chance of beating them

I've got no problem with a tyre and/or fuel rule.

1.57.9 after 2 laps in the 906..

That is a crap time compared to GTL Rank

The only reason I object to tyre/fuel is that it would make me even worse

Dave.

I was in the 1.56 with the 911, but am consistent at 1.57.

Horrible, horrible track.

I think everyone is deliberately keeping their laptimes close to their chest, to avoid giving away any advantage.

I cry foul play, if this was a real race series we'd see each other's lap times in practice, come on chaps, what times are you geetting?

I'm joking of course, although D_Mike's time has me a bit scared, as I have had a chance to play since posting up this thread... Wonder if I can make a living sitting on my arse at home instead of at the office...

Well, I'm scared too dobbo! I checked out GTL rank and the fastest GT40 time at hockenheim GP i2 1:52.4 I think. THere is no way I can go 7 seconds a lap faster. I think some of the times on GTL rank are a bit suspect.

I wouldn't worry too much Mike, the fastest time for Donington in the GT40 on GTLRank is actually almost exactly the same as the fastest '76 laptime in our race there last week.

As such, I'm happy to knock at least 7 or 8 seconds off the GTLRank Hockenheim time to have a time that would be a front runner in our league. Trouble is I'm 10 seconds off...

I haven't had a chance to practice yet, and I'm away tonight and tomorrow so it will be Friday before I have a chance Rest assured I'll cheer you all up with my miserable 76 time then.

I think the 76 cars should take petrol or fuel at the pitstop (both if they want to), however I had a pretty big pitstop practice last week and found there was not much difference to stopping and deselecting everything (6 second pitstop) and stopping for 1/2 tank of fuel (8 seconds). It's the tyres that really take the time at the pits, BUT fresh tyres really do reduce the laptimes.

For me a full tank of fuel makes little or no differnce to my laptimes

The choice (as they say) is yours

1.54 in the Tomatoe, but you know how irattic my times are , think i'll stick with the 76s again and drop my 1st two races (65s were only for Anderstorp realy)

Besides I cant resist beating Diver in his class with a 76 & a 65 car

anyone around now.............

I will upload a setup for you dobbo, later this evening probably. The tirck with the GT40 is to be really smooth. I've found I can be faster than the 76 cars through the hairpins... If you want I'll put a replay of my hotlap somewhere too?

Would welcome both! I know I can go faster, and suspect it's simply lack of practice, I reckon I've only managed 30 mins at each track, plus the race.

Learning lines from someone elses lap should help in that regard.

Just done some practicing, best so far a 1m5x.x (as if I'm going to say) it just gives others a target to aim at

But I can consistantly lap at the same pace for 10 laps and have sorted my understeer, I think

Whats the call on pitstop rules?
