Who plays & where?

I found www.freerollz.com which lists poker freerolls (free to enter with real money prizes) and I'm getting addicted, I even bought a book about poker to help me learn

Best to play between 5am and 7am UK time as you get a few drunken Yanks at that time.....

Not that I'm advocating taking advantage.

I dont play poker, but was talking to a mate who convinced me online is the best place to start so im also interested to hear which places are the best to visit.

Is it possible to win more than you loose, with a bit of practice, and can any good players describe the learning curve? Never understood the game myself, but willing to give it a bash

Your selling yourself hope

Loads of risky online table set ups.
Friends band together onto a table and texted, mail or phone each other with their cards
Does the word "syndicates" ring any alarm bells ???

I know nothing about cricket but assume people remember Ed Giddins? I didnt meet him, but spent the evening at his house last night talking about websites with his mrs. He earns his living just travelling around playing poker all the time now. Apparently he's ranked in the top 40 in europe. Sounds like an ideal career to me
