Eyemouth, not Weymouth! North of Berwick - south of North Berwick - and not all that handy for Knockhill:

Sorry but you're not allowed to eat them in your car - Out you get and sit on that sea wall

You started the thread, get it sorted
The area around Silverstone I think would be a good start?? It's pretty mid-way.

Dave.

I've raced at Daytona in Milton Keynes, good long circuit.

www.daytona.co.uk/track.php?venue=milton%20keynes

Last time I raced there they had crappy twin engined pro karts, I think they might have changed them. I can check it out, get some details if you need any.

Obviously not purely GTLers though...
Maybe we can find somewhere with around 12 minimum..? Otherwise we may have to take a few people in from the Regional boards/General Gassing to make up the numbers

we could have GTLers against console gamers to increase the numbers. (I know a lot of us have consoles as well, but whatever )

yes, make it a "computer games" race.

we'll have lots of good crashes that way

They don't make karts with seats fitted 15ft up in the air and 15ft behind it. They might struggle if they have to sit in the kart, behind the wheel

Are there any with seats mounted above the front wheels? I don't like cockpit view

[small]That said, I've grown to be able to use it now, must be the new Graphics Card . Could do with a trackIR to finish things off and get more visibility..

I'm not sure what sort of karts you've driven dave, but they don't generally have cockpits .

Whilton Mill are probably out of the running now. I asking them for something slightly different to the offerings on their website and got a brochure from them (and a catering menu too). It's apparent they're after corporate money as they're really looking for much larger groups, and it's not cheap either.

Daytona at Milton Keynes is looking promising though. They have a a 90 minute endurance for small teams (2-4 people) but again it's quite pricey (£170/team). So if people are willing to pay more they can form a smaller group and get more track time

If you want more track time for less money the only option seems to be to go for a practice session but racing is usually forbidden... there's also nothing to stop you hanging around for a practice before/after the main event.

As for when we do this, I would suggest one Saturday in August.

Comments?

the further north we go the cheaper it'll be! (but we have to take into account accessability and transport costs). August is good for me.
