August sounds good...
And yeah I can see it being cheaper the further North you travel.. ha!
But if it means £170 per team then I suppose I'm happy enough to pay my share..!
I would recommend single every man for themselves kind of racing though, or I would end up taking myself out or another team member
But never been Karting so don't know if that is available..

I've just had a chat with Daytona in Milton Keynes. It looks promising.
Their Daytona 90 is a 90-minute session for teams of 2-4 people, with a 20 minutes practice session. It's an open event, so we would not be the only team there (they cater for up to 30 teams).
Price is £170 per team. If you're short of cash, you can go for a larger team but you get less track time.
The date/time would be 2pm on a Saturday in August (5th, 12th, 19th). Payment has to be made in advance. I would be happy to collect the money and make a lump sum payment to Daytona.
How does this fit with everyone?

Thanks to another suggestion from Dave, I've called GPKarting in Northampton.
They cater for smaller groups like ours with up to 10 karts on track at once, and several flexible formats. If only 10 people want to go, then we can all be racing simultaneously but if we get more it can be split into small teams.
They have a 75 lap endurance, but can split this to a 40 lap race followed by a 35 lap race (with reverse grid order). Sounds good. Cost would be £40-£50 each. (40 laps is around 20+ minutes).
Adam
p.s. They also said that some of the corners are quite slippy

I am okay with this (I live a mile away ) and the date is fine too.
My son has been to GPkarting with some mates and its not a huge outdoor track like Daytona, its indoors in an old warehouse but is well run with proper timing equipment and TV monitors.
If people wanted to stay over then there is a new Hotel Ibis about half a mile away in the middle of a leisure complex (cinema, bars, restaurants etc) that has a summer special for that weekend with 2 person rooms at 34.95 plus breakfast
My shed is free, but don't touch my Mobil 1 and Hooch supply
