Is there any way yo can save the game mid race as some of the races last 24 hours! I don't want to play for 24 hours none stop!

Nope. I usually B-spec them, or at least do half and half (you can swap on pitting). Only other way is just to pause it and come back to it. I don't think they'll overheat.

Thanks for the advice but even if I use B-spec the car always crashes after a few laps so I end up not winning the race, plus it's still takes a good few hours for the 24 hour races which I can't be bothered with

Providing you've got the right car the B-spec driver will always manage to win in the end. I did all the endurance races that way. For the 24 hour ones I just started the races, set the speed and overtake button, then turned the TV off and left it to get on with it.

Put it on b-spec with the pace set at 3 or 4 depending on your b-spec points.

You need to get your B-Spec driver up to speed with plenty of races to increase his experience and then let him do the endurance races. Leaving them running overnight and the rest of the next day whilst you're at work is the best bet.

Bear in mind that each time he pits the 3x speed drops to normal, so it's worth cranking it back up to 3x just before bedtime and again on rising the next day and then again just before you go out the door. Then when you come home the race is won, providing the car, the car setup and "B-Spec Bob" were all up to the job.

That's a real pain in the ass, but as others have said, leave it going whilst overnight/you're at work and you'll soon complete the 24 hour race.

Don't do what i did and tell everyone at work that is why your leaving early.

Everyone looked at me like I had told them my sexual preference was for hamsters and I collect train numbers on the platform at Crewe station.

Some people just do not understand.

I'll bear that in mind. How many B-spec points do you need before yuor driver is guranted to win?

other thing that I found was to race A-spec for the first 20 or so laps, as you can get much higher speeds on the mulsane, you get far enough infront then to get the win.

All depends on skill of b-spec man, and the other cars racing against you. I did 9 hours, and had a 3 1/2 lap lead just to be sure

La Sarthe is one of the hardest tracks to get B-Spec Bob to win. It's all down to car setup - get it wrong and he tends to pitch into the barriers on the Mulsanne Straight (it's a bug in the UK version of the game) or lose it at the corner at the end of it.

The trick, I've found, is to raise the ride height a little and, crucially, to put less front brake bias on that normal. In fact B-Spec Bob doesn't like brake bias and it is better to keep it the same front and back. When I'm racing on A-Spec I tend to have something like 20 front and 15 rear, but B-Spec can't cope with much more than 8 front and 8 rear, maybe 10 at a push, or he'll exhibit the above behaviour.

I won on my second attempt, mind you was the last race that I did, and had done quite a few b spec races before that.

I've never even come close to getting my B Spec Bob competitive on the New York street circuit.

Anybody had any luck there?

Yes. It's all down to car setup once he has enough skill.

As I mentioned before, my B-Spec Bob doesn't cope with front brake bias for some reason.

I found most of my cars had the wrong gearing for new york..I set it a bit closer and you're in the powerband for taking the corners then.
