BF2 1.4 patch

anyone know what its out. getting annoyed at the 1.3 patch freezing or locking up.

Was due out yesterday... last minute changes tho by EA as they don't want a repeat of 1.3.

They haven't said when it'll be eventually realised. Annoying...

well I can't play it at the moment. don't know why but CS and other games run fine but BF2 only runs with very low graphics at the moment ansd will not load online properly.

Anyone know what the problem is? when I try and play specail forces it keeps saying not shaders found. before I re installed XP it worked fine. I have updated the Graphics driver and mother board driver

roll back to previous drivers? i guess you've patched bf2.
errr.. did you install bf2 after you updated the drivers? if not, uninstall bf2 & reinstall.

yesterday I uninstalled and re installed BF2 and 1.3 but still the same. Me thinks I will try another patch next. see if its 1.3 playing up

Doesn't shaders refer to Direct X stuff, DX9, Dx8 etc...?

Have you reset the BF2 video config in the options?

Yes but it does not change the video config

No I meant when first setting the video options after installing/reinstalling and clicking apply and restarting. Try going in and setting it to something more basic, less options turned up and lower res, apply. Quit then restart and see if you replicate the same problem. If not turn up the details till you do.

ADDED - Have you installed one of the add ons like Special Forces after applying the 1.3 patch? If so you have to apply the patch again. - http://forums.easports.com/mboards/th

graphics shouldnt be an issue with a 7800 gtx, hope u get them sorted!!! i have 512mb 7900 gtx... running at 1600x1200 everything on full and AAx8 and AFx16!!!! so nice lol

I installed this over lunch and had a blast around the new map Road to Jalalabad, everything seems to be fine so far this end, but then I didn't have any problems with v1.3

Few people had problems with 1.3 the main problem was server-side. Caused random crashes.

Ah, I play rarely so I guess my odds of a random crash are longer than someone who's online more.
