Oblivion - the Elder scrolls
Discussion
If you search there are already a couple of very good threads on here about Oblivion, if I get time I shall edit this post.
It's a great game that can swallow up hours of your life, to really appreciate all the shiny bits you do need a high end PC with decent graphics card though, but lots of options to tune things down if you don't.
If you have any interest in first person adventure games then you will like this and its way better than the earlier games with a lot of criticisms taken into account.

Superb. I'm 250hrs in and have not started the main quest yet !!
I did a similar thing...did a few initial quests from people I met early on, then walked for miles the first few days, mapped lots of locations and started doing all the side quests to gain experience, gold, skills.
Unfortunately this meant that when I got to the main quest and the guild quests I was already quite highly leveled/skilled and found them lacking in challenge.
I'm planning on starting another character - my current one is a Dark Elf BattleMage with high thief skills and 100% chameleon effect (from full custom-enchated glass armour) - but I'm not sure which way to go with it as my current character is the style I always prefer.

Okay - I bought the game, only played a little, but i see what people are talking about, its huge...
I've already had a 'disc unreadable' error twice, but from another thread, i think this happens?
Also, someone mentioned clearing the cache, how do i do this?
Other than that, im just starting out, so any hints or tips are more than welcome!
