Oh if anyone is making any mods and wants a proper recording of very noisy cars, let me know, I have a set up that works without clipping.

All really done well, 1994 & 1995 season cars including the one-off Buick powered Menard cars for the Indy 500 round and the special Penske-Mercedes of 1994 as well as mutliple versions for the different circuits (sponsorship or bodywork changes).

The Big Bangers are available on an Alpha test.

F5000 - Spirit of 1973 smile

Get both Alpha 1 & Alpha 2 files.

The basic setup is a bit odd but I've made this for the 1979 Silverstone - http://www.mercia.biz/F5000/F5000-Silverstone.svm

Beta (not quite finished) Formula One 1975-1976 (with some older cars like Stewart/Cevert Tyrrell 006 from 1973 and the 007 from 1974). Using a modified 1988 F1 physics but this will all change later.

Files here - dl both.

Right I'm officially a spaz

I've downloaded a couple of additional content files and placed them into the mains "areas" of the original game files (EG: car info in "vehicles" sound files in sound, tracks in tracks etc etc,

I can see them in the in game menu as selectable options but each time I try to use them I get the following error message

"Error opening MAS file DBR9CHALLENGE\MAS\DBRV2.MAS" Or whatever other vehicle.

I was able to load the 60s challenge cars as they unpacked themselves without spaz user intervention.

Any chance for hints for the foolish please?

As an aside if anyone knows how to cure my G25 / USB headset sound distortion issue I'd really appreciate it as well!

Thanks

Phil

When you get this it means that the internal link the mod has to where to find the cars is different to where you have put them.

For example if you have manually moved the DBR9 Challenge car folder into the vehicles folder you might find there is an upper names folder that it has to be in and moved with it, or unusual folder structure used only by that mod.

I just downloaded the DBR9 mod, unpacked it to my desktop it is packed into it's own named folder (which is poor packing to be honest) but all you have to do is open the RF_DBR9V2CH_BY_EDOG folder, then the rFactor folder, and cut & paste those three folders into your rFactor game folder. Then it will work.

The best way to always do it is to unzip or unpaxk the RAR file to a new empty directory on your desktop called rFactor, then when done open it. If the folders in there are Gamedata RFM etc... just cut and paste them all into the rFactor game directory and when it says the folders already exists click "yes to all" as it will copy the content into the correct folders. Sometimes people pack mods up in a folder named after their mod, just open up whatever folder there is until you see the the gamedata, RFM etc.. folders in it and then just drag & drop or cut & paste them as a whole into your rFactor game folder.

rFactor Bathurst (Mount Panorama Circuit) 1960's-1970's version graphically and without the Caltex Chase chicane so it's the full Conrod straight version. Perfect for the Bathurst Legends mod.
