Thanks for that thumbup

The patch for the Alfa's that he posted still didn't fix the problem so I looked into it and i think I've fixed it myself;

I opened the .veh files in notepad and changed the Default livery line from

DefaultLivery="07056_ALFA_ROMEO_156.dds" to DefaultLivery="07056_ALFA_156.dds" (The actual name of the file.)

(The same thing for the 59 car)

I guess if that line has incorrect infomation it reverts back to a defualt car which must've been the Marchetti car.

I also changed

Category="RaceX,Alfa Romeo 156" to Category="RaceX,BTWC 2007,Alfa Romeo 156" as the patch seemed to have moved the cars out of the BTWC category.

That seems to have fixed things. thumbup

It is, keep hold of your GTL disc though because this conversion uses the GTL disc to validate the mod. You put the GTL disc in the drive once and once only when you install the mod. No starforce installed or anything. (Getting round copyright issues). Same thing has been done with the Power & Glory mod for GTR2 but that one has also had a complete physics update.

And if you have GTR2 there's also a BTCC (UK Tour 2007) addition for the WTCC mod. smile

Then download this tiny tiny tiny 2kb fix. Zanardi's 2007 BMW was in the wrong category, and the 2007 Leons weren't using the 2007 body style.

Just got the RaceX update but have lost the readme which says which files to delete banghead

Anyone know?

Also, when i select WTCC 2007, rFactor closes, will this stop when i've deleted these files or is that something different?

Edit: Doesnt matter, found it with a system search.

Ok theres still something wrong, since i've installed the RaceX update whenever i try to change series, (onto a WTCC one) rFactor closes. I checked the RaceX folder to find there is no WTCC 2007! Whats going on here?

So i thought it may be because its missing so i tried switching to WTCC 2006 and... same thing although i do have the 2006 folder:

Confusingly all the WTCC 2007 cars are in with the 2006 cars so there is no WTCC 2007 folder. Not sure about your other problem though, I'll have to investigate further.

Had no idea that there was a section for this!

Anyway, apart from the mentioned sites, gtrgt (in google) is a nice site for more underground conversions of tracks and mods for GTR2, i would advise the Prototype Mod is a good place to start!

You have to get P&G mod for GTR2, it is excellent.

I have a couple of very sneaky Rfactor mods if anyone has a private site, a conversion of Prototype C (form F1 challenge if anyone remembers) with the 962's Sauber merc etc.
