It won't work if you move it. You will need to uninstall it and uninstall the Steam client software and then reinstall Steam to a new folder outside of Program Files or Program Files (86).

You could try, if you have the space to copy the steamapps folder (where the games are installed) somewhere else then uninstall Steam if you have a lot installed and then when you have installed Steam to a new folder copy the steamapps folder back to save any big internet downloads, but if it's only GTR2 you have installed then there's no point.

Thanks for the help. Removing Steam worked. It doesn't start up all of the time, sometimes needs a couple of goes but 100 times better than it was.

Love the game! Pretty good for an oldie. I'm only using an xbox controller, but feels pretty good so far. Lots of gaming hours in this one I think. Not bad for a tenner.

Race 07 was about £2 on steam a while ago. Much simpler IMO and up to date.

In fact, i started playing it again today after a good while playing pCars and it is shocking how much more immersive/playable it is than pCars.

Same here, Got all the simbin Race add-ons, Been playing Pcars but i'm not getting on with it, Ive got an old sidewinder FFB wheel which i love and always used but its not compatable with Pcars so i bought a Logitech momo, I just cant get the wheel to feel right in Pcars, Both actual steering weight and FFB so ive gone back to the Race series and i am loving it again, Hooked on the A4 in the STTC at the moment! Graphics are not my top priority, Its the physics i want and race to me feels spot on, Anyone that hasnt tried it should give it a go as its cheap and theres tons of free add ons for it on No-Grip etc, Also Rieza's Ftruck is great aswell.

Go on projectcarsgame forum and look for Jack Spade's FFB tweaker files.

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22...

You just load them in your documents directory and they do their thing. Different ones do different things so you can pick the ones that suit you best. There are recommended wheel settings as well. Worth it, because Project CARS is great fun once you get into it, don't give up on it just yet smile
