The Sims 2,.
Do you play The Sims 2? Do you find the loading times really slow when changing location, whether you call a cab or use your own car?
Not got the add-on pack that gives my hippies a car yet. But no, loadtimes seem pretty good, a little slow but them I am using a laptop; however once loaded it flies along.
To be honest I stopped playing Sims2 once I discovered EVE:Online, only just managed to ween myself off that one... it's like pure liquid crack

The Broken Sword graphical adventures have always been rather good, and there is a new one out. The older ones are very 2-D but amazingly atmospheric.
My girlfriend loves the Broken Sword series and she enjoys a lot of other adventure games. I have tried to get her into early adventure series like Space Quest, Monkey Island etc but she doesn't like the way they look and she calls them Lego games because of the type of blocky graphics.
Unfortunately she likes the CSI series as well which I find extremely tedious to say the least.
I have the same problem. My wee girly proclaims 'computer games are a pointless waste of time' as she flicks through the moron pages of Heat magazine trying to get me interested in Victoria Beckam’s handbag.
I would dearly love to get her into them. She said she loved Alex Kid on the Master System (remember them) when she was 10 but that was about the last thing she ever played (she is now 25).
I have tried her on the Sims 2 but she hated it.
I have been toying with buying her a pink DS and getting her Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. Is there anything else my simple, clothes obsessed, games allergic woman would possibly like?

I'd recommend the Broken Sword series as others have, my missus has enjoyed them more than any other games and I've found them to not be too boring. If yours liked Alex Kidd then she might like some of the recent platformers but I have no idea about them TBH. Alex Kidd In Miracle World was fabulous though, how about getting her an emulator and reliving those memories?
