Actually... Im dissapointed with it...

Looks great in HD - but it just lacks the playability of the previous games... and seems to have taken the whole modifying thing far too far...

Downloading it now..

seeing as I normally run my downloads over night, what's the normal time frame for a 1gb dl from M$ on an 8Mb ADSL line?

It's utter cack IMHO. I thought the streetrace was bad, and then tried the 'drifing'. Dear lord.

Give me PGR3 anyday.

Really poor (and this is coming from someone who liked NFS before this). I played it a couple of times and then deleted it.

The full game = banghead - Its just arcade nonsense

Some of the cars = cloud9 - for example DB9, Lotus Europa+Elise, Audi LeMans, M3 CSL, Mc SLR etc. etc.

Saw it running in demo mode on a TV whilst I was picking up NWN2 cloud9
My comment was "Is that what a 360 is capable of?" I was unimpressed.

I'm running it on a PC, I'm impressed graphically, well kind of, because I have a widescreen monitor but the game does not support widescreen so the world is a bit distorted.

NFS series has been going downhill since the 2nd one.

Need for Speed on the 3D0, PC etc. was awesome. Then it kind of lost track when you couldn't roll the cars. Bloody car manufacturers!

IMO, the NFS games have gone downhill since the Porsche one. OK it wasn't perfect but I certainly enjoyed the pretty good physics, realistic performance, damage and sensible tuning (none of that stupid Nitrous Oxide sh1t to keep 10 year olds happy rolleyes)

Now what we have in the latest NFSs is some ripoff from Fast and the Furious, with unrealistic AI, crap physics & performance, chavy "visual upgrades" and stupid music.

If only EA would go back to the basics which maybe combined the simple fun of NFS 3/4 with the realistic handling/performance of cars like in Porsche.

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

Oh yeah, back on topic: if NFS Carbon is anything like Underground 1/2 or Most Wanted, I'll certainly give it a miss thank you.
