Xbox live gold membership is £40 for a year. Is it worth getting it with the live vision camera and headset for £50? www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/88888/mia/d/xbox+360+xbox+360+live+vision+pack+camera+12+months+xbox+live+gold+headset/pid/4638377
I don't have the hard disk and need that one day but am trying to go for a while without it! Is that wise? Can I get a hard disk as well as gold/headset for a further discount?

If you don't have the Hard Disk you'd better have a memory card, although I give it a couple of weeks and you'll definitely want the Hard Drive.
I'd say it's worth paying the tenner extra for the camera if you can afford to as it's over £30 on it's own and looks like it could be interesting in games, or simply to take a photo of your left testicle to use as a gamerpic for all your mates to see.

I think I'll do the right one actually. Always been my favourite. Or did you mean from the front on, in which case it would indeed be on the left.
Anyway, I do have a memory card obviously, and have gone 3 months without a hard disk so far. Still looking like £100 for the Hard Disk and a live subscription to me though. If I buy a used 360 hard disk is it useable in any xbox?

Hard Disks are interchangeable - when my 360 went tits-up a couple of weeks ago I took it back to the shop for a brand new replacement, but kept my old HD and gave the shop back the one from the new 360. All works fine, and I didn't lose my savegames for TDU and Oblivion (probably close to 200hrs on those games!).

I picked one of these camera doo-hickeys up at the w/e.
Quite good fun playing the totem ball game with the kids, and definitely worth getting if you have to renew your membership anyway.
I think the vid chat aspect of this is going to be a winner, but at the moment I'm the only person I know with the setup (need to persuade our Aussie rellies to get one)
in the meantime I will while away the hours taking pics of my ball-bags (for personal use only you understand)
