Bought hitman on the 360 the other day and it wont run. It keeps saying I have to set the console to 60hz. This has been done but it still wont work. Oblivion,Dead or Alive and Ghost Recon all work ok. I have tried the game on a friends 360 and it works fine. PLEASE HELP

I am running the component connection on a HD Pannie plasma, that post seems to say the problem lies with a VGA cable.

I think Steve said you get the same problem with the component cable. I think you need to set the switch on the cable to TV (as opposed to HDTV), change the setting from 50 to 60, and then change the switch back to HDTV. Obviously powering off every time you change it.

Thanks Buddy I will try that and see how I get on. But if that solves the problem how comes Oblivion works OK?

Really got no idea, as someone else mentioned, the HD signal should come through as 60hz anyway and most games will recognise that fact, but Hitman just didn't want to play ball.

Hope it works for you.

I guess Oblivion checks the actual refresh rate (which will be 60Hz on VGA or HD), whereas Hitman checks the stored setting? Don't know, to be honest.

I think thats the case, stupid oversight on behalf of the developers it seems.
