I bought rFactor - and now I'm hungry for mods!

What are the best ones, and do you have any linkies?

Cheers!

Check the sticky thread just above this one for locations.

Best for me, V8Factor, 1979F1 demo (do far), ETCC, CDTP F1 2005, Kart racer, McLaren F1 GTR/LM others too, but they are the must haves.

I bourght rFactor yesterday, so far i have ETCC and Lupo Cup, i'm trying to get hold of tracks, i think it will be a case of getting everything i can so i don't have a problem with multiplayer.

The rFactor donnington is pants, i tend to use the converted GTL version.

Are there any decent UK based servers? Everything i try and play on, my pings are terrible!?

And of the mods coming out I'd keep an eye on. Should be enough to keep everyone going for a long time.

Touring Car Legends
NAGT
Prototype C
GTx5
FedEx CART
Caterham
JGTC
LMS (Le Mans Series) - http://enduracers.easyforum.fr/ftopic
RFX (FIA GT Series)
and all the F1 year mods in development.

Cheers lads!

Have to say, I'm not all that impressed with rFactor.. Doesnt feel as polished as GTR, and the graphics dont seem as nice. The feel of the cars is way off what you get in LFS or GTR, and most of the addons are naff.

Perhaps some good multiplayer will change my mind - what server should I be looking to race on?

Cheers

Go and join any decent server (ETCC mod maybe?) and as long as you're not racing with idiots it's great!

Have you got all the driving aids on? I only ask 'cause I did the same with the demo, and thought the handling was rubbish until I discovered that all the aids were on boxedin

Post your graphics card type and settings as they are in the display section. Mine looks like this and it's better than GTR ever was.

Hey

All aids are off, and all graphics settings I think are maxed out. It's a nvidia card, so the AA isn't amazing, but gtr2 does look better

Here's a screenshot of my graphics setup screen.

And here's a shot of my hardness settings:

I'll give racing online a go tomorrow night. Cheers for helping guys - appreciated.

You mean GTR2 like this?

Ps, that's an rFactor screenshot of the yet to be released RFX mod.

You need to compare both Monza GTR2 and Brianza (Monza) rFactor tracks.
Or just download the GTR2 Simbim version of Monza from here - http://rfactorracing.yusho.de/forum/v

And if it's interior views it just depends on the mod your using.

Don't have the mirrors turned on in this shot though.
