Anyone know how to copy driver profiles from 1 pc to another. I've tried copying the userdata folder but that doesnt seem to work...

edited to say it half works its got my race entries and wins etc but no credits or cars owned... other than the mini and the cortina ;(

Should work if you copy the named driver profile folder you use that's within the userdata folder.

nope just tried it again...

it give my driver history, championships best laps % complete etc but 0 credits and 2 cars

just double checked on the other pc and all the cars and credits are there so im not being totaly daft.. must be a way to do it..

That is strange, I packed my GTL installation onto a DVD when I uninstalled GTL. Completely, removing all traces of it inlcuding all the starforce rubbish. I recently reinstalled and I just copied in the userdata info from the DVD, all the cars were there plus the cash I had won. (Similar to installing to a new PC).

Are both connected to the internet, it might some dodgy starforce protection that prevents you from having cash if you have 2 machines using the same game CD code?

nope the original machine has never been connected to the lan new one is though...

i might try a re install, i did create a new user with the same name and did one race before i copied the user data file across, maybe its somthing to do with that?


other than that it works quite well on my duo core lap top
