Has anyone seen the trailer for the new World in Conflict game?

The following trailer was rendered by the new Nvidia G80 GPU and the result is stunning. The in game shots look pretty amazing too, but it makes me wonder when games will finally become totally realistic!

I'd guess we're at least 3, maybe 5 generations away from seeing something akin to reality in realtime.
Might be longer depending on CPUs - certainly things will be interesting when they code for quad-core chips fully.
Maybe when Xbox1080/PS5 have been in place and the programmers finding how to extract the best from them.

Looks impressive. But I doubt that's real time rendering.

Take the tank scene. The guy vaults over it. That isn't usually have the characters move in a FPS... and why would you have a view like that in a RTS? My money is on it being pre-rendered footage used in game at some point; which is good... looks very nice... but.

Cor lumme.

As for the vaulting, check out CoD3. Plenty of that going on there

But yeah, seeing as it's an RTS, I can only assume that's going to be footage at the beginning/end of missions etc.
