Hi Guys, finally got a computer and broadband and would now like to have a look into the world of online gaming.
Thing is this is all new to me, can you just log into an online game and play? do you need to pay?
any advice appreciated......i'm into first person war games if there are any recommendations. Best regards, Mark

Pretty much log in and play - no fees unless your playing EVE online or something like that.

If your into 1st person shooters - then the Battlefield series is one you want to put on your list. BF2 is modern warfare, BF2142 is the same sort of thing but based in the near future. Both are excellent.

Try Americas Army. It's a beast of a download (2.6 gb) but free.

*MULTIKILL!*

Whilst besiged by bots, 13yr olds and such, a good game of UT (any version except 2003) is an excellent idea.

On-line games are fun over the internet. However they come in to their own when your playing against people you know either on-line or at a LAN party.
