Does anyone know if I buy the expansion disc with all the dlc included, do I still need the original disc? As I sold mine but fancy all the extra bits now.
If you get the Broken Steel extension disk you need the original disk still. The expansion pack is something that is simply loaded onto your hard disk.Xaero said:

If you buy the Game of The Year edition then no, the original disk is no longer needed. Oh, and the GOTY has ALL the additional bits on it.I got mine here

with the added bonus that it is cheaper than buying Fallout 3 and each of the DLCs separately.

What book ? Mind, I've already done rather a lot of the stuff in the game............

you can get a strategy book for the main game with all the extra stuff in it, like nuka-cola quantum and bobblehead locations, modified guns etc.
You'd have to be pretty dim to spend out on a strategy guide when there is a) this thread and b) the Fallout Wiki. Edit: The latter is immense.

Oh right, I've already found the Nuka Quantum grenades and most modified guns I think, but those f***ng bobbleheads escape me (I've only got about six of them).....But then I do have I think 160 locations on my map...

I have all the bobbleheads too, it was probably the main thing I went out my way to achieve in my first play though. It's a nice achievement to see them all sitting there in the stand.

Damn this thread, I never got round to finishing it the first time round so now I'm playing it again.
I must admit, it's tempting me too. I only ever got 19 Bobbleheads, the last one was in Megaton and I blew that up.Have y'all seen the new trailer for Fallout New Vegas on the Bethesda site? Looks damn good, and not long to go now!

New Vegas looks like it will have a new "hardcore" setting where ammo has weight, stimpacks heal you gradually rather than instantly, limbs can only be fixed by a doctor, and you have to maintain your character with food and water. Should fix the slight silliness of being able to carry 6000 rounds of ammo and heal yourself mid-fight and bring a new dimension to things.
