Unless you are absolutely sure that's you want to head down the production / industry route, sack off mining.
If you want to stay mission running, find some security agents and work your way up to Level 4 missions. I recommend Sisters of EVE as a good faction to work for.
Its more interesting than blasting rocks and you will make more money whilst training skills that you will need regardless of your chosen profession.
I did mining for a few years and whilst its rewarding in its own way, its also very dull.
Contact me in game and I will contract you a Frigate or Destroyer to get you going. I'm Jen Shi'ko.

Join a corp! Solo, especially at the start is dull. However Eve Online will spit you and throw you out, don't trust anyone...in a good way. Don't hand over money to join a corp!
Agents are a better way than mining to earn some money espscially with low skills.
My first corp was a industrial/mining corp and the CEO had a BPO (blue print original) of a T2 cap recharger (I think) and made billions from it. We had a joint mining, hauling op and he gave away 100mil isk in a hauler race from the asteroid field to stn and back. Easiest way I earnt 100mil!!

I've applied to join dreddit, so we'll see how it goes. Finished the Military & Advanced Military career agents, piece of cake when you've outgunned the NPCs
I'll do the rest this weekend, the fleet and cash is handy.
Took a Venture out to .4 last night without any guns or shields, and lost a full haul to an NPC. That'll teach me!

That way you can lose it to me instead.

Dreddit application rejected, I'm presuming because I'm not active enough on reddit.
Exploration missions are dull and vague, but it reminds me of Archaeology in WoW.

We are currently smashing heads with goons and friends.
We give out free ships and skill books to new players, have a new player help channel and new player orientated fleets, which as a veteran I love as I like to dunk t3ds with tech1 fit frigs and destroyers
Last Friday we dunked a 40man confessor fleet with a 20man thrasher fleet and a 20man mordus angel corm fleet I was flying a 1.5million isk ship that id been give, we lost about 10m in ships did around a billion in damage.

PH joined sold off all my worldly possession, and jumped across to the hub. I got killed a couple of times, before I realised I could change my home station.
I reckon I can get a decent tackling rig set up pretty easily, it's a similar role to what my WoW rogue used to do, and it's fairly newbean-friendly.

Its really heating up isn't it! I'm not a big fan of the Imperium so its all good to me!
There is some chat about getting involved, but I suspect if we were to it would be just ambushing people around the edges as they escape from fights and jumping on small gangs heading to larger fights.
We have had one director leave corp and head off up North looking for big fights, so it might happen.
We aren't really sufficiently organised (one of Wingspan's major draws for me) to jump into a war effort.
But what do I know, I am but a mushroom.
p.s. Got a ratting Tengu last night as well. Sadly a very meh fit, but Kill board is starting to look better...
