Babu! That Loki kill is beautiful, what happened?
I darednt do any solo roaming, but I have seen guys do well in the Stabber fleet is due, as well as the Deimos being pretty nasty
Unfortunately, most 'solo' guys around our way, nhave an alt in a recon ship just waiting to save them.
Don't I know it!
How does that work if they have an alt? I thought you couldn't run a main char and an alt at the same time?

Thanks. smile
Different account - not an alt on your main account.
Ok. Thanks. smile
The client works really well for multiple accounts across a couple of screens in windowed mode. It's seemless to work.
I run two accounts in full screen mode and alt_tab between the two (old PC that is due a replacement). Windowed mode sounds like a good idea.

For that to work properly I need a new PC and a bigger monitor. smile

Reading the posts above, it definitely sounds more fun roaming around low and null sec. smile

I'll need to seriously consider getting into one of the corps mentioned in this thread.

Another question about smartbombs. Ok to use in null and lowsec? Not advisable in high sec? Obviously, you need to make sure you don't hit any innocent party, but never a problem in nullsec. smile
I wouldn't in high sec, you'll find anything innocent you hit will bring the wrath of CONCORD down
Not sure about low sec, should be ok, but make sure no friendly Frigates or drones are nearby, else you will kill them, and be really unpopular in the after action report ;-)
Thanks. smile

Not actually bought it yet myself - I'm going to go through the full list and see what else is of interest - but in previous years I've just set up a fake us address for the downloadable software deals. Never had a problem yet.
Ok, thanks.

Sorry, is that email address or postal address? Thanks.

Problem is, I linked my Eve account in Amazon and am not sure if that caused the problem.

Yes, delivery address - as you would if buying something as a present for someone.
Tried it. Still don't work. frown

Oh well. Think it's because my billing address is UK.

I spent a few hours last night doing a long journey in my Itty V (36 jumps each way). Was worth it though as I was gifted a highly researched BPO version of this and a load of minerals:

(Capital Cargo Bay)

I think it's worth quite a lot of money (to me). smile

What are you doing in hisec at the mo?

Oh and if the PHer who popped on the Senex channel last night is lurking, stick your hand up. byebye
It is, isn't it. He has no need for it anymore so said I could have it. smile

At the moment, I'm mining and getting stuff together to manufacture a load of old blueprints I've got lying around. I have about 5 Domi, a Kestrel, some shuttles, a few other battleruisers and battleships and loads of missile, torpedo and ammo originals and copies.

I'm also getting bits together so that I can build things like Orcas. One of my chars is has 20 days to go to train Advanced Spaceship Command to level 5. He is then well on the road to flying freighters.

Once I can fly freighters, I'm looking at hauling stuff around.

Those are my immediate plans. However, I'm also getting back into mission running (found an old Myrmidon last night) to earn some isk and get my levels up. smile

You should be able to make good money doing freighter runs, especially if you hook up with Red/Black Frog.
That's the plan. smile

Get the mining done, get some ships built, get them sold, then either build or buy a freighter.

Are Red/Black Frog corps? Thanks.

Over the last few years they have significantly changed the barrier to entry, skill points these days after the initial 60days are more about adding diversity than about competitiveness.

They made huge changes to frigates & destroyers to make the game more inclusive for new players.

PH regularly run destroyer fleets and the big fleets with larger ships have an ewar wing of frigates. You can be in a fleet fight within a couple of hours of playing the game.

Its worth having a watch of eveiseasy on you tube he does, videos of trial character pvp etc.
Ahh that's good to know, I've not tried it for about 18months so may give it another go.
Haven't played Eve for years. However, after having a crack at Elite Dangerous and simply not getting it, I'm thinking of signing back up.

Wish I'd done it a few weeks ago as I had an offer of a month's play for about 3 quid.

Had an email from Eve Online saying I have a free Alpha Clone waiting for me on my account.

What's that all about?

Haven't played this for years, despite starting this thread. hehe

Alpha = free to play, omega = subscribed

Eve's gone free to play but with a limit to 5m sp, tech1 frig, dessies, cruisers of your race only, some limit on tech2 modules (guns/drones mainly) you cant multibox. no other real limitations. No item or currency cap, no area's of the game blocked off except maybe by the sp limit ish sort of (industry for example is accessible but capped by your skills, cant do pi I think either), you can do everything but nothing really optimal.

Its like an permanent trial, its good as you can log in whenever you want have chat to your corp mates and not have to sub etc, knock around in a tech1 ships if you want.
Thanks.

Wow. I wonder how that has gone down with the established community?

May need to pop back on at some point to check on my two characters. I think I left them with quite a lot of money and kit. Need to get my PC reformatted first though.

I guess the Alpha thing is to try and get more people playing.

Logged back on for the first time in nearly four years the other night. I noticed they increased the things you can do for free so thought I'd access memy characters and see what was what.

Noticed they have changed some skills so a ship I could fly four years ago I cant now. Obviously, the free stuff is quite restrictive but you can fly up to battleship I think.

May pay some subs and get my accounts at Omega level so I can do a bit more over christmas.

If you have the skill trained you can still fly it, even if you don't have the prerequisites, I guess you're looking at commandships.
It won't let me get back in the ship. Its the biggest mining barge (Hulk I think).

Thanks.

Well, I awoke my two old characters and started a third. Subbed all of them now and enjoying this game every now and again.

Had a bit of an issue the other night though. Lost a Mackinaw to some gits in 0.4 space. My own fault really as I got a bit careless. I went into the system in a Thorax, cleared up some rats and noticed local was pretty much dead. So I went a few systems away, picked up my Mack and went to mine some Jaspet.

Two minutes after setting up, a couple of ships appeared out of nowhere, warp scrambled me and popped my ship. I escaped in my pod. Bugger.

Killmail shows I lost about 300 million. I'm not too fussed as the Mack was surplus to my requirements as I use Hulks in safer systems.

Did get me wondering though. I would love to head back into that system and kick their arses. Trouble is, I'm not in any corps at the moment and I'm not sure how much damage I can do to them solo. Could be fun though. smile

Am I daft to think I could tool up and head back into the system and have some fun with them? They only killed me in a couple of frigates. smile
