Not logged on for a month or so, might do so with the new patch... I read something about a new system for testing yourself out solo..?

Thoughts so far?

I really enjoyed the levelling (especially not being able to fly, i think that forced you to see the word rather than fly over it). Garrisons/followers is great, and extremely addictive clap

Tried our first raid last night, cleared first 2 bosses in Highmaul on normal difficulty (previously flex). Nice raid instance, and good increase in difficulty from first 2 bosses to next 2!

It is ridiculously easy to level up.

Truly dislike the removal of some kit / shot on my Marksmanship Hunter. It now feels like a blunt object rather than a finely edged weapon. That may also be down to me yet to find a comfortable new shot rotation, though.

Barracks / followers is a nice touch. I'd like the ability to plan missions, rather than just 'man them up'.

I've not done any of the dungeons / raids yet as I'm concentrating on questing the life out of it first.

Loved the levelling. But I pushed hard and got 100 by the Saturday. Helping the guild out by "acting" Tank.

Garrisons are great. Shame they were made integral to the questing as the server issues made it unplayable for a few people.

As for Marksmen being weak? 20k dps (steady) isn't weak. That's pretty damn good for the stage where most people are at.

When I say blunt, I feel like I've lost the subtlety, not the dps.

As I say, that may be more down to having to learn / find a decent shot rotation again, than an actual loss of subtlety smile

Lone wolf is utterly ridiculous. Not great for 2s/3s but for RBGs and PVE it's unreal!

I've been playing on and off still not reached 100 yet due to a slight Binding of Isaac: Rebirth addiction, killing things whilst leveling as a Disc Priest can be a bit slow going.

My OH plays a marksmanship hunter and was pretty put out by the changes but she seems to have mostly got over it by now as she still seems to be topping DPS counters.

Quality of the content in the expansion is very good and I have actually enjoyed leveling which is more than I can say about MoP.

Got my BM troll hunter up to 98, had two weeks away with work just after the expansion went live, and also been levelling up a Draenei shaman (boosted 90)

I've always suffered from being Altaholic - I seem to have a different main every expansion, and had 8 (5 hoard, 3 alliance) at 90 by the time WoD came out eek

Delved back into this over the xmas break - fantastic expansion. love the story and the updated graphics are really pretty. Questing really flows nicely without feeling too theme park even though it is. Like the garrison and changes to crafting.

Not done any instances yet though.

World of Crates!

So, i'm thoroughly addicted the the garrison stuff, to the point where i am logging on in the morning to send my followers out. If they made this an android app i would be worried for my productivity at work nerd

Raiding is progressing quite nicely, although the last boss on normal is much more difficult than quite a few heroic bosses!

Levelling alts is made fairly easy with the War Mill providing upgrades to quest rewards/drops too and the crafted items are equippable at L91

By god do i miss this game, but then again i also don't miss it!

Started playing when it first started, through all the expansions and stopped around 2009. I don't think i would recognise any of it now. Was the first raid group (on Horde) to take Raggy down /roar

We're getting a bit stuck on Koragh(sp?). Trying to do it grouped, trying to do it spread out. Raid-group is fairly solid so I think it's just people getting used to the timings and such... still annoying though. lots of RNG in this raid that can screw you over, Tectus/Brackenspore-mushrooms anyone?

I keep trying to persuade our group to do a heroic run one night a week but they keep dilly-dallying over that idea.

Farm Kargath Heroic for gear before doing your normal clear, it's basically free loot!
We also downed Butcher and Twins heroic before we finally downed the last boss on normal last night!

For some simplified tactics for normal and heroics take a look at this link

That's a really nice graphical explanation, thanks for that! I was thinking about doing something like that for our group because there's quite a mix of nationalities and not everyone speaks English natively.

What class are you playing and what are your Tanks out of interest?

Pleasure, i think it's very useful on top of watching videos etc for positioning as much as tactics themselves. We have the same thing, my raiders are from all over europe although they all speak perfect English.

I'm a DK (dps mostly, but i will tank if we're short), currently we have any two from Monk, DK, Pala and Warrior (with myself, a bear and another Pala as backup just in case). How about you?
