Bit of a necro, but are any PHers playing on Nostalrius? It's a Blizzard approved private Vanilla WOW server with over 8k players online (during US prime-time) - I kid you not! Euro evening time is around 4.5k.
I was playing P99 Classic EverQuest, but although content progressed with Velious, a number of stealth patches introduced a more 'Classic' experience in terms of character models, and other quality of life mechanics which started to erode my enjoyment of the game. I thus retired from casual play, and switched to Vanilla WOW because I didn't play WOW during release, or any of its iterations.
It is fun, fun, FUN! However, as anyone who has posted in this thread will be aware, the community is a cesspool in terms of behaviour and content that appears in Global Chat. Members of the Jewish persuasion may feel that they have wandered into a Hitler Youth meeting. Alliance - what I play - is a LOT better than Horde.
I'm a Night-Elf Alliance Warrior who rolled on the PvP server, and am currently in Dolanaar. I'd be interested to see how many PHers play on Nostalrius.

IGN is Gogoyubari. Added a Slovenian player to my friend list, and it would be good to add more players with the right attitude for the eventual 5 Player Dungeons.
Everything is new to me [WOW], and am enjoying the experience so far. The only fly in the ointment is the amount of work required to filter out all of the douche-bags. Reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman introduces Kyle to Chat Roulette to make new friends, and the vast majority of 'friends' are guys jacking off. "Kyle, this is how the World works. If you want to make quality friends, you have to wade through all the dicks first"

Back on WoW Feenix now @ Warsong. The leveling is slightly faster to get the realm going but will slow down

I just resubbed to this after 4 years to relieve my boredom, it's changed somewhat.

The game has "evolved" a lot to reflect the changes in gamer expectations / available play timeHowever they messed WoD up big time, after the initial levelling experience (which was good) if you dont raid WoD is bloody terrible, the 5m gold my garrisons have made should be handy
however blizz have put a lot of work into legion into creating rewarding and varied out of raid content, and it looks pretty promising so far
but blizz being blizz they have butchered most classes with a blinkered obsession to slash the number of skills available and in the process ruined some specs

Where did you get the 2m figure from? The last published figure by Blizz was 5.6m, but they stopped publishing because they said "it wasn't relevant" but we all know it's because they're in free-fall. Hope it all turns out. Just rerolled Rogue and the new animations are epic. Using Rupture now causes the rogue to rush behind the target and stab then back to the front.

If anyone needs to gear up alts before Legion, the current world events drop 2*ilvl 700 pieces of gear per encounter, with a chance of being upto ilvl 720 warforged. Obviously these will be replaced before you hit level 110 in Legion, but it will make the opening levels easier for you.

Currently 63. Once i hit 100 ill be farming this like mad to get geared up for the expansion. Lucky i got the first week of september off 
If you look at your world map, the east and west continents will have 2 green blobs somewhere on them. Those zones are currently under attack by the Legion. If you go to those zones while the attack is on, and defeat 3 waves of enemies, it will reward you with 2 loot boxes, which will have armour in.

Haven't purchased the expansion yet but im assuming this is available without purchasing it? May be worth it for the XPGassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
