Finally got a character to max level.

Getting a bit bored of stabbing level 28 alliance players in the face now so what do I do next?

Max level as in level 90? Next step is usually to go run some heroic 5-man dungeons, or raids. Try doing an LFR raid to begin with. You will need to be in a guild to do proper raids though.

Yep, 90.

My gear is pants so I'm not quite at a high enough ilvl to get into Heroics yet.

This is also probably why I'm getting spanked by the majority of other 90s I battle (that and the fact I'm utterly rubbish).

Don't worry about things you do not understand, its doesn't matter, just level up and have fun and work out all the other stuff later..

This. The levelling up aspect can be a bit grindy at times, but the world itself is utterly immense. I used to love exploring with my brother and hopefully happening across a few alliance to battle in the process. Once you've gone through it all and reached 90, I really just felt a bit 'meh' about the whole thing. I'm not hardcore enough to start raiding and all that so as a result, I've cancelled my subscription.
