Meant to be out for christmas this year, but it was meant to be March and before that christmas 2008, so who knows when it will actually be released. Hope it's going to be better than the prologue one, that was very very poor.

sony have laughed at the 2010 and even xmas 09 release and stated it will be sooner than expected.

most of the shops still state march 09, but my guess is late summer 09.

I believe all the current release dates are just Shops making S**t up, AFAIK DP haven't stated a release date for GT5.

As for the Christmas 09 date IIRC that was someone from Sony, and was quickly denied by DP.

Also no matter when it arrives expect it to take another 3months(ish) to land on our shores.

The main problem with GT5 news is that it's nearly always in Japanese, and then gets translated with varying degrees of accuracy into English and other western languages.

Oh well, plenty of time to buy a £125 XBox and a second hand copy of Forza 2 to get your fix...

...additionally, if it does come out somewhere in 2009, chances are your newly acquired 360 might not RROD before you can switch back to the PS3 and GT5..

i have Xbox360 and forza2 already


yeah i have had ROD issues but on each occasion MS delt with it swiftly and hassle free

that date ties in with what i heard. Although, if that's the date play state i wonder if sony's "it'll be sooner than expected" will mean a month or so earlier. not holding my breath on that!

When has any new major release of GT arrived sooner than expected? They're probably taking forever trying to get some new feature working, then will eventually give up and release without it, 2 years late, like always.
