Inspired by the PH fantasy garage threads what are your Top 10 games ever?

Doesn't have to be a ranked list just the Top 10 and I'm sure certain games will pop up on most lists and become some sort of winner.

Don't just add what you're playing now (as so many magazine polls seem to be), really the 10 games you wouldn't want to miss.

Also don't add 'series' for example the 'Call of Duty Series' is not a game, one game per entry.

Maybe this can also become some kind of games everyone should play recommendation.

Anyway in no particualr order I'll start:

Super Mario Kart (SNES) This would definately be number 1, the best game ever and the closest gaming has aver got to perfection

Goldeneye (N64) The best multiplayer game ever, no questions. And a great single player

Half Life (PC) Possibly the best single player campaign in any game ever - completely engrossing. And great online for it's day.

Gran Tourismo 2 (PS) Best driving game ever made.

Sega Rally (Arcade/Saturn) Perfect handling makes a fairly limited game completely addictive.

Soul Caliber (Dreamcast) Best fighting game ever made by an absolute mile, still looks and plays better than anything else a decade after release. Possibly only second to Mario Kart for greatest game ever.

Command & Conquer (PC) Just love it.

GTA Vice City (PS2) Perfectly realised and the most involving atmosphere ever created in a game. GTA became to complicated after this.

CoD 4 (360) The game that perfected online multiplayer, this will be played for years to come and everything will be banchmarked against it.

Metal Gear Solid (PS) You just have to play it, just the once but you will not stop until you are finished.

Over to you guys...

Goldeneye - Lost a large amount of time to this over the years. Even fired it up at the weekend with my brother. It still has that feeling of dread when you get into a gun fight on the levels 'Stack' and 'Facility'

C&C Red Alert - Best edition of this game. Loved it. Can not wait for Red Alert on the iPhone later this year.

Gran Turismo 2 - First racing/simulation game I really got into.

Advance Wars (GBA and then DS) - Best strategy game I have played. You can loose hours to this game. If you have a DS and like strategy games then this is an essential item.

Tetris - enough said

GTA Vice City - the only edition of GTA that I was arsed to finish and one that I played to death.

Pilotwings - I could play with the skydiver all day long.

Rollercoaster Tycoon - Nothing more frustrating than creating a rollercoaster and then finding out it was too extreme for the punters to go on.

COD 4 & 5 - Best FPS series going. I'm sh**e at it but keep coming back for more.

Operation Flashpoint - Great story line and very immersive compared to anything else out at the time.

Enthusia is a fantastic game for the PS2, better than any other racing game of that generation imo.

There are many more but my top 10 are these.

I have to say if I could have afforded a half decent PC then my games list would look a lot different, GTL, GTR, GTR 2, rFactor I bet would all be there.

I know this will be my 11th game, and I'll probably get flamed for it but....

.... 10 pin bowling on the Wii. After a few drinks it is utterly brilliant.

In no particular order - you might notice a slight trend hehe:

Grand Prix Legends - Probably the most difficult racer i have ever tried but despite the aging graphics and iffy online code its still got a big following and has a real sense of occasion. Look on youtube for Grand Prix Legends Nurburgring and you will see what i mean.
GT Legends - Old school escorts, Capris and Panteras, and ducktail 911's getting their arses out - doesn't get any better.
Live For Speed - The physics on this are staggeringingly good. Cheap as chips for what it gives in return - excellent online racing.
Chase HQ - Lets go Mr Driver! My First expereince of a game with turbo boost biggrin
Outrun - Absolute classic. The music is superb...
Double Dragon - Fond memories as a kid playing this and making friends when someone used to join in as the 2nd dragon biggrin
World of Warcraft - Has there ever been something so vast and addictive before?
X Wing Versus Tie Fighter - I was blown away by the gameplay and music for the time. With an analogue joystick this was superb - i'd say it was still worth a go now. Might have to dig the cd out biggrin
Elite - The orginal space trading and piracy game. Infuriating at times but an inspiration for so many games since.
Doom - I will never forget the first time i entered the map and shat myself when confronted by a massive boss. And also when you finally got hold of the minigun of BFG - awesome. biggrin

EDIT: - One more : GTi Club - The fun me and my mates had on this after a few jars up the sports bar...i'd love a console version!

Get thee a PS3... it's been released on the PSN - about £10 or so and in HD too!
