Mother Of God!

PLEASE tell me this is a joke?

I had the extreme misfortune of testing this game and I would rather poke out meyes with a sharp stick than ever go near it again!
Totally unforgiving, but very rewarding once you crack it. Still one of the best racing sims out there.
Actually,

humble apologies

My time addled brain cells are getting confused with Spirit of speed

(and if you know that game you know I owe the developers of GPL a BIG sorry!)

paperbag
Although I'm pretty sure it's not that difficult in real life to just drive in a straight line.

Tekken 2 (PS2)
NBA Live 95 (Megadrive)
GT (PS2)
IK+ (Com 64)
Sensible Soccer (Amiga)
SpeedBall 2 (Amiga)
Champ Manager 2005 (PC)
Sonic 2 (Megadrive)
Mortal Combat (Megadrive)
Bruce Lee (Com 64)

A top 20 would have been easier to do. COD 4 & 6 probably should be on the very top of my list BUT it seems to frustrate me more than I enjoy it so I've left it off. There was also another Football game that I couldn'r remember the name of, it had something like "Banana" Power or Shot and you could bend it like Beckham which I think was on either the Com64, Amiga or even an Arcade machine. LOL good games.

Transport Tycoon DX (PC) – Lost years to this, never bettered. Still play Open TTD.

Interstate 76 (PC) – Little known car shooting game set in the 70’s with a great story to boot (And some very wierdly rendered people).

Carmageddon (PC) – What’s more fun than running over old women while they shout “I was in the war”, would love to see this remade/modernised although I doubt censorship would allow it now. Thinking back it was seriously voilent!!!

Railroad Tycoon 2 (PC) – Appeals to my inner geek and is a great business sim too.

Baldur’s Gate (PC) – Practically lived in this game when I should have been studying for my GCSE’s, didn’t do too well in the exams but managed to get Minsc to level 55!!

Age of Empires 2 (PC) – Need I say more, is there any better LAN game, I think not!

X-Com Apocalypse (PC) – Seriously good strategy game, loved the R&D aspect to it.

GTA Vice City (PS2) – The only GTA I bothered to finish, this game brought upon my somewhat terrible taste in 80’s music. Plus it’s the only game I purchased at midnight on launch!

Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) – Amazing game, ploughed hours into this and never even came close to competing it. This (and its predecessors) are responsible for my love of Japanese cars.

Soul Calibur (DC) – The only fighting game I really got into, got this with my DC on launch and it was so far ahead of anything out at the time. Shame everyone was too busy waiting for the PS2 to pay any attention to the DC.

Damn, what was that called?! Used to go round to Paul Hayes' house and play that.

Was it just World Cup Soccer or something simple like that?

Off the top of my head....

Counter Strike v1.1 (PC) v1.3 and later just got silly

Counter Strike Source - (PC) CS just got better with Source

Half-Life 2 (PC) nuff said

Rainbow Islands - (AMiGA) Seriously the best 2D platform game ever made...pee's all over Mario

SF2 Turbo - (US SNES) This and all other console games of that era *must* be played on an import console. If you've played any console game on a UK/PAL machine....you've wasted your time and effort as the timings are all wrong

Goldeneye - (US N64) See above

Doom (PC) nuff said

Virtua Tennis 2 (DC) Simply awesome gameplay

I don't think I can name ten games but here goes.

Duke nukem 2d & 3d
Wolfenstein
Doom2
HalfLife 1 & 2
Counter strike upto 1.6

Medal of Honour Allied Assault. The amount of times I played the beachstorming sequences in SP and online defy belief. The amercian carbine clip spring thing ejecting, I can still hear it now after my 5/6 rounds are used. Getting shot before even getting off the landing craft by some spotty thirteen year old! Took me a month to get off the beach in single player because those B^^&ASTRD machine gun nests on cliff top.

1) Snipe from bottom of left hand bunker, run to shell hole,
2) Snipe three of four more times, running between shell holes,
3) Trip over mine, jump 200 feet into air and spread self over wide area.
4) Goto 1 and repeat ad infinitum

Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Pain killer, hordes of enemies to mow down.

That's where I moved on and stopped playing games about 3 years ago, to many car projects not enough time. Haven't loaded one onto PC since. So no idea about MOH, Far cry etc as PC was never upto them.

9) Golden Eye
10) Wii Sports Resort
11) Monkey Island 2

Had a crack on Company of Heroes last night and I reckon that sneaks in to the top 15 at least.
