Hi all,

been trying to get into GPL for a while now but would like to have a go on line but carnt seem to get VROC to work, all I get is the chat stuff. Do you have to run GPL as well or what? Ive checked the directory is right and it is, but it still doesnt work, I must be doing something wrong but have no idea, please help,

VROC was down last night, but the thing is with the vroc.ini file is to have the it looking exactly the same as this, it worked for me.

[VROC]
address=racelist.vroc.net

They must be on different lines, with no additional spaces.

Thanks,
got it working but now what do you do? Do you run VROC then start GPL? Carnt get multiplay working in GPL! Ive got Broadband and VROC is fine, can see races but multiplay in GPL doesnt seem to do anything,

fire up VROC. Wait for the race list - find one you can enter (green flag) -(or blue if you have the password IE tomorrow at the pistonheads race) highlight that race go up to the VROC tab and click on Join then follow the onscreen prompts. You often get a delay from being accepted into a race to when the "green square" appears in the bottom left corner

You can safely run the WinVROC chat and racelists with a firewall (ZoneAlarm or Norton) but when you want to enter a race to eliminate any chance of being dropped by VROC disable your firewall. Only running VROC as an internet program and nothing else you should be OK. Oh and make sure any Messenger software is disabled too.

No come in now while you are still learning and you can have much fun at the back of the pack with me and Dragstar.

Those guys at the front just clear off and have boring races all by themselves, it's at the tail end that all the action happens

What tracks do you race on? Ive only driven Silverstone at the moment. Still waiting for an adaptor to be delivered so as I can use my steering wheel, can only use keys at the moment, getting average times of 1.39 at the moment. Hope the wheel will help me go a bit faster then I will join in,
