My first attempt at a car;





The carbon fibre took about 400 layers on each side, then the reg plate took about 150 layers, then a few stickers etc.

I'm seeing some very good fonts/lettering on cars on here that look exactly like the real life design they are copying. Are these letters made up of the shapes you use to create designs or are there some specific font styles available to play with?

There are a few different font style but most of the lettering will have been made using shapes, it takes ages but looks so much better in the end.

Depends, i find that you can manipulate most of the forza stuff to look like you want. remember you can spin,skew and alter the height/width of each letter.

Yep, they didnt want a situation where there were multi-millionaires and cars selling for silly money before the Americans had even joined the game, which is why none of my paints have gone on my Storefront yet, I'm not going to be greedy but refuse to spend days doing R&D on a paint job to get it looking right, then making the logos and letting them sell for 10k.

Lets face it within a month of the Americans playing we will be back up to 500,000cr cars in the AH etc (though none of mine will sell for that much)

PS....Love that Focus really want that paint on my RS200 Focus.

Accessing your painted cars live?

Playing online last night and each time i had to pick a car (for whatever was going on...cat and mouse, race, etc) I couldn't see the painted versions of a few that i had painted in my garage - i assumed that the selection for that particular game was locked to standard - then a police car crashed into me!

Was i just not looking properly and anything i own, painted, in my garage will be painted when picked live or does it depend on the set up for each individual game?

Technically when you're browsing your garage when choosing a car in online races, it should show your design on the car when you choose it. Perhaps it just wasn't registering it on the preview, but there shouldn't be an issue with choosing your own painted cars from your garage. That's a bit of a strange one!

So if i own a fiesta and i paint it pink...when i play online and (if the game allows) every car is avalible to be had...picking a fiesta will put me in my pink one? (i assume whether the mods are on it depends on the game settings?)

It's basically just a very large amount of gradients on a semi-transparent background. What's your GT? I'll gift you the vinyl group.

No, only if you pick the car from your garage, ie the box furthest to the left, it sounds like you may have just picked the car from the 'class' box, in which case you will get 'stock from the dealer' cars.

I had a go at this painting malarky, looked like fun - this is my first attempt using some advice off here, interested in thoughts as it took AGES!...its on a standard M5. my xbox isn't online until i get wireless adaptor next month so pics of tv screen for now.
