Just set a 1:36 with clutch and no aids. Going to have a try with TC on. Twitchy car!
Is that a typo? Lap record on the Time Trial worldwide stands at 1.38.891

Well it has to be said, the Aston is a b*tch of a car to drive. I've been having a good go with no aids except clutch. I've been using 3rd as practically the lowest usable gear. 1:50.9 my best like this and with the current level of consistency, I'm going to have 1 more go but with TC on before I put my head on the pillow.

Well now it's 1:47.966 with TC and clutch aids on. Totally tranforms the car.

Reminds me of Clarkson's comment on the Alfa 147GTA, and it's tyre shredding 250bhp through the front gyres. On the traction control he said "never before has a piece of electronics been so overworked since the introduction of pocket calculators to GCSE maths" (or something like that...)

We're having heavy rainfall here and certain bit of the house keep shorting out and tripping the breaker in the fuse box! So I might not be able to better my time today if I need to.

Regarding the braking line thingy - I admit to having it on as habit as there are so many new tracks to learn. Once I get comfy with a track, even though it is on, I don't pay it much heed. It normally says 'brake' (go's red) too early for me and often the lines arern't that great anyway.

I was totaly useless with this car. The only aids i use nopw is ABS, but im practasing without it. I have also started using manual with auto clutch.

I just couldnt get anywhere near a respectable time, 1:49 / 1:48, switched TC on and WOW, what a difference, takes all the fun out of it but it made a world of difference to my times. Still no where near as good as the front runners usualy are but i was chuffed.

Perhaps it does but we're currently sat at home with all the plug sockets off as it has tripped again. Still have ceiling lights but they may go too.

Dubai villas are not good in the rain and we've had torrential downpours today.

Looks like an evening of reading. No telly and lots of ruined stuff in the freezer frown

Mwahahaha!! laugh

I was in Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi a year or so ago when there was a light rain shower. They needed about 5000 buckets to catch all the water from all the leaks. I see a market for indoor umbrellas biglaugh

Just managed a 1:41:855 after about 70-80 laps, pretty much exhuasted my talent on this one..

Whats the chances of a last day-mid afternoon update so we can see what were up against?

It's mainly cos you know you've just managed to knock half a second off a lap then screw a corner up, you have to keep going untill you've managed to match it.. Either that or I'm rubbish lol, think I did about 120 laps on the first one..

No chance of a full update - far too much work needed to update the boards

You're 4th with times of 41.842, 41.794 and 40.999 ahead of you.

I've done 15 laps and still runing a 46!! I am officially crap at this one...
