thought i'd have a few more goes, just managed a 1:55:533. gonna go till 12 see if i can get it any quicker

It took me long enough to get that!

The 2nd right hander is where I carry lots of speed. I found the trick was to stay full throttle after the first corner, through the second, then stay full throttle for the 3rd corner (2nd right hander) but shift into 4th, which helped keep the car on the racing line and gaining speed. In fact, I come out that corner ahead of Asterix. He gets me in the middle section. In fact, in the last few corners I draw him back in, but he is faster down the start finish straight.

The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th (and 6th is where I think you lose loads of times - on the sharp left hander) corners are the ones where I catch you up... it is the simply speed you have at the start of the lap down the straight which I can't get, plus the chicane at the end.

Nessie, ta for the tips on gaining a car without the cash. Just wish i'd seen it before spending an hour racing to get some credit

Ok - this week we're going to speed things up a bit. I believe it's a standard car so it should be open to everyone.

I know we've been going for a specific class, but I'd like to limit this one a bit more if it's agreeable?

Mercedes Touring Car - R2 Class - Silverstone Grand Prix

Reason for this car is that it is good fun out of the box and should have some very close times.

I can change it if people don't have the car or if they'd prefer to keep it open to the whole R2 class.

Emmmmmm you can get it fromthe arcade garage through using the Hot Lap facility.

Bish bash bosh, costs you no dosh and completely standard cars show off true driver skill aswell.

tbh im easy either way.... but the only thing is that you have no control over mods... so you would get some people in a tuned car and others in the standard car??

+ i do like to go for the most random car i can find (V8 S4 for instance)

But for this week, standard cars are all well and good, but if you've got a previous laptime in a modified car that you can't beat then there's no way of prooving your actual time as it will never be recorded...
