Unlikely. Only been a handful of people on. If you go NW from there you'll come to a mesa if you want some coloured clay. Due west of there is desert, savanna and a jungle on the far side of those.
I already had a rage quit moment on the first day the server opened yesterday. I had carefully collected enough diamonds, reeds and obsidian to make an enchanter and some nether portals. All done and in my inventory so popped into the nether to place the portal at 0,0 in there, but oooh shiny quartz to be collected! Merrily collecting quartz and I removed a block of netherack to get out of the 2 deep hole I was in and out pours the lava from behind the block
. Nothing I could do and lost the lot, including all my freshly made armour, diamond pick, all the quartz I'd just collected, obsidian AND the enchanter. Not amused....

Couldn't find the snow/ice spike biome you mentioned earlier?If it makes you feel better I had a similar incident of sorts, after travelling a few thousand blocks without encountering many mobs I docked at that rock to place a few torches, only for some
Skeleton to pop up and shoot me off had no choice but to either drown or get turned into a pin cushion. Haven't done any serious mining so only lost a bit of wood/stone/iron etc. but still kinda annoying. I'd have gone to retrieve my stuff but the spawn seems to be surrounded in skeletons so just gave up at that point.MarkRSi said:

I spotted the dirt block in the entrance when I was running back to spawn for some wheat so I know where you are. You're fairly close to me - I'm in the mountain just to the NW of you, other side of the sheep farm. I was just over there. 1500 -800 ish. Are you also occupying the sand island to the south of yours? If so I've nicked a couple of your cactus for my sheep farm Couldn't find the snow/ice spike biome you mentioned earlier? but I've given you a couple of lambs in exchange xD.cH3wY said:

I have finished the community wool/carpet farm over to the west of spawn near the village. Just need to get the pop up with some breeding to make about 20 sheep per pen but all the colours are there. Donations welcome in the chest
