Minecraft - £8 Very well spent

My account is seemingly defunct. I'm unable to log-in at all and none of the password resets or username reminders (to ascertain what email address is attached) are working. Seems that the only other way to retrieve the required information is to locate the payment ID from when originally creating the account, which was around 2010 in my case. I'm not using the same paypal account as I was back then so that's no good to me either. I'm not buying a new account as 1. I can't be arsed and 2. it would still mean that I'd lose whatever stuff I've currently got on my old account, although that's not the end of the world as I could "spawn" in those items myself.
The server is still running and being paid for each month like I said I would do but is anyone still playing on it? It's costing me £15/month to keep up and as I can't play it anymore (unless someone fancies gifting me a new account
) it's sort of dead money to me. I got a bit bored of 1.7 and 1.8 still isn't released but there's a lot of work done by everyone on the current world so I'm reluctant to scrap it but then again I'm not continuing paying for it indefinitely if it's not being used.

I think the server is suffering from the usual MC issue in that, once things are 'done' and the latest updates have been fully explored there isn't anything to 'do' or explore until a new set of updates come out. Even with Tekkit / FTB the problem was manifest
1.8 is taking forever to materialise too which isn't helping - and I am doing Minecraft IRL having bought a house which is akin to a crack den so thats taking a lot of time...
Can Mojang not provide details of your account Rik? Must confess I havent seen a number for customer support.....
One of the reasons im not online much is that others are not on much either, Maybe we can get a few more people white listed (there are a few requests in previous posts)
