Monkeyspeed doesn't do mundane tasks like digging out 50K blocks smile

We are nearly there now, I have done another session tonight and have about 17,000 left to dig

We have then to sort out that horrible ravine and light up some caves

Need to look at the next part of the video to look at the collection system, I am a little worried about the minecart collection system as they can go off the rails when you leave the area with them running sometimes

I've been thinking about this and agree it could cause some issues. I had similar with my old mob farm where the carts would mysteriously 'jump' the tracks onto the adjacent line which would them jam it all up. It seemed to happen after leaving the area so some kind of chunk loading/unloading issue. In the end I got so pissed off with having to fix it every day that I ripped it all out and built a basin underneath the mob spawn platforms with water pushing them all into a 2x2 drop chute and killed them through fall damage with drops going into hoppers, then a dropper on a clock into another water stream to my storage area. The spawn rates did drop a little but it was still more than fast enough. I don't think we'll have any requirement for 100k items per hour so that might be the way to go with the guardians. scratchchin

It seems that guardians spawn better in Ocean that is not exposed to the sky
So it looks like we need a roof, something solid but also non spawnable
I will make a mini sorting system to put the drops in the correct place and cook the fish
Is there a specific place we should be standing to maximise spawn rates?

Carts are messed up. About half of the lines have jumped tracked so there's 2 carts on a lot of lines. I did warn about this happening....

Luke I think those crashes are server side rather than your end. It could be due to all those items flowing around at the guardian farm.

Im not a million miles away from the guardian farm (maybe just about in chunk range) looking at building a general mob farm (i hoped the two might counterbalance the over spawning and therefore problematic drop amounts), so it could be the guardians..but i cant stay playing for long enough to even try and get through the portal frown

Good news: I managed to get through the portal and back to spawn, and have been running around frantically opening and closing chests and doors for the last 10 minutes to see if it will kick me from the game, and so far im still playing

Bad news: That means the problem is either the guardian farm, or the 50 prismarine blocks i placed 150 blocks up in the air..i know which one id go for as the issue..

And, thanks to a ton of lag at one point, the server cloned 60 dispensers into 95 confusedlaugh

Having trouble again tonight with the server, was fine for a while and now cant log in and on the rare occasion i can i last a few seconds and lag out the game

The similarity to last time is that im up at Y220 ish, but i cant see why this would cause me issues?

Im no where near the guardians this time, im over near mushroom island (-4925,-2200) so maybe they arent the issue?

The only thing i can think of is whatever was causing the lag spikes around spawn is affecting me a lot - Spawn chunks are always loaded when someone is online if im correct?

Not really sure what to do once again, if i can make my way back to spawn in between 'timing out' ill try and see if anything is causing lag

Although supposedly out of range for the chunks to be loaded, I think it could've been all the guardian drops swimming around in the water stream. There were around 80 stacks of 64 items which is a lot of entities... Since adding in a cactus killer it seems to have improved things.

The tree farm I was on about is this one by RedstoneSpire - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoBPh7Sz8WU. There's a download link. If you're going to build it may I suggest doing it above the sniper spawner which is down the stairs behind the cow cooker thingy. That way the snipers could be spawning and producing more bones as you use it, which would be useful. yes

I've installed a cart elevator at the gold farm which reduces the time by loads. There's a ladder on the back side of the tower to get down quick. I've also built a 'house' round my portal and slabbed it to stop ZPM from getting in to my base and camping the portal when they're agro. Seems to be working.

ZPM farm working good but still needs collection system installing. AFK'd there the other night and went from level 0 to level 207 yikes in the space of about 6 hours. The ZPM were still agro after all that time.

I've also done a lot of work on the guardian farm today - you won't even recognise it when you go through the portal. The carts are still jumping tracks though - I've been thinking about extending the tracks into the wall on the far side and making the space 2 high so you can walk in and fix them without having to break glass.

Ive done the sorter on the gold farm and prettied up the whole thing a bit, ive also put in an enchantment set up so you can use them 207 levels while youre there wink

I don't really have any use for that much XP as I get the majority of my gear from the villagers who usually give you enough XP from trading with them to put enchanted books onto tools in the anvil. I've started enchanting books instead but this is fiddly as the same ones don't stack so have to keep going back to base when inv fills up. But the other issue is that the farm produces so much XP you can't use it fast enough as you only lose 3 XP for each enchant hehe. I can see me running out of lapiz soon...

The farm collection system appears to be broken. Only 25% of the drops are being picked up and the rest is spilling out everywhere. After 5 mins AFK I went down to the killing floor and collected 77 nuggets, 97 flesh and 12 ingots which were just laying around (they weren't there at the start). The zpm seem to be pushing each other off the ledges too which could be easily fixed by putting a fence round the edges or a 2 high glass wall. This would then force them to the cactus chute.

I have tidied up the nether spawn hub and want to put a railcart station in to take you to places like the guardian farm, the enderman farm and the blaze farm

ATJ you could remove your little hut around your portal now if you want as the hub should be safe from spawning and angry ZPM

possibly needs some more decoration but not sure what.

You need to stop using the worst block in the game everywhere hehe - polished granite. It works okay sparingly with red brick and oak logs but doesn't work with anything else - especially not green prismarine! I do wonder what the decor is like in your house ...

Btw the ZPM break down doors like normal zombies so those won't work. I would recommend using a carpet covered 5 high drop to stop them getting in and ditch the doors.

Did you fix the ZPM farm? Still seems to spill its guts out everywhere. In addition to what I put in my OP, I think the problem at the kill floor is because it's surrounded in glass instead of solid blocks. Items glitch through glass whereas solid blocks are not perfect but much more reliable.

I love polished granite it's my favourite block (in case you can't tell)
Mrs Jetblack complains that I spend too much time on Minecraft and if I didn't I would have more time to decorate at home smile

Luke will have a look at the killing floor when he is next on but he thinks it's the gaps the pistons leave when they open that is the problem

I built the main mine cart station last night ( not a red block in sight wink. )

The rails need putting in to the destinations and the individual stations need doing
I am going to make a separate return line so we only have one way trafic

I have carpeted the entrances and put signs over the hole all of them except the blaze farm entrance
I need to create a new entrance for the messa corridor as the station was a bit larger than expected (you can access the messa tunnel by going through the enderman door and turning left after the carpet there is a tunnel

I have left the doors as I think they look good although the zpm cannot get to them

I encased the ZPM platforms with glass a few days ago to filter then all to the drop instead of pushing each other over the edge. That is working great. I also tried fixing the drop and collection area with some solid blocks but it hasn't made any difference. I think the problem is the slime block pushers moving the items and causing them to glitch and fall through the other blocks. After only 5 mins at the AFK point there was over a stack of nuggets sat on the roof that hadn't gone into the chests so it's definitely a problem. frown

The guardian farm and the sand quarry are now connected to the rail network
I have put slabs in the roof of the tunnels to try and stop zpm getting in the way of the minecarts

Was a bit tight for room near the quarry portal but have managed to fit it in

next one to do is the end portal

Do we want a rail to the wither skelly farm?
